Vernon Philander is fit again, has a chance to work on his ridiculously good bowling average.

Four quicks if they drop Tahir, or does that other gun debutant Marchant de Lange go to the bench?

Hearing that Morkel will be dropped.
Also looking at Peterson to come in to open and Rudolph to bat 6, Prince out.
Somehow the saffers love Rudolph and want to try him at another position

Ashwell Prince has been dropped from the South African squad to play Sri Lanka in the third Test starting in Cape Town on Tuesday. Prince's absence makes it a certainty that recalled batsman Alviro Petersen will have a spot in the starting XI but it has yet to be decided whether Petersen will open or slot into Prince's role at No. 6.
Meanwhile, Vernon Philander has been declared fit for the third Test. Philander suffered a mild strain to his left knee while training in Durban and sat out during the Boxing Day encounter. His replacement, Marchant de Lange, took seven wickets in the first innings, making him the eighth debutant to take a five-for in 2011. Despite his sensational start to Test cricket, de Lange is expected to make way for Philander, after Morne Morkel showed signs of returning to form in the second Test.

Dinesh Chandimal, the Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman, is expected to be fit for the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town. Chandimal was struck on the right elbow during training on Sunday, was taken to the hospital for an x-ray and it was established that only had sustained bruising.

South Africa's Shaun Marsh. India have a Phil Hughes clone opening their batting as well. Are there any other clones out there?

Jaques Kallis is a wonderful player. His record speaks for itself. It's quite staggering what he's achieved. More than deserves to be spoken of alongside Ponting, Tendulkar and Lara as a bat despite not being quite as devastating. More of an accumulator although his current innings would suggest otherwise. Add in his bowling though and wow! People speak of Botham, Hadlee, Khan etc, but Kallis is on a level only comparable to a bloke by the name of Sobers when it comes to all round ability.

FWIW Lara was on another level to all three of the others IMHO.

Well done Jacques ^:)^

Thissara Perera to Kallis, 2 runs, 2nd double hundred for King Kallis. A joyous moment for one of the best all-rounder I have ever seen. Removes his helmet, soaks in the atmosphere as the crowd stand on their feet applauding their local hero. His family is delighted and so are his mates in the dressing room. A big punch of delight from Kallis, gets his double ton with a solid punch past cover
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.
