Oh crap. Matt Simon just signed a 3 year deal with a Korean club and will only play 2 more games for the Mariners. The price you pay with a poor club. :(

Best news ive heard for along time. Cant stand Matt Simon the arrogant, whinging, sook. Good player though  cant replace players like him, work hard and always just end up on the end of a string of passes or a cross.

Now you know how AU feel. Have lost - Burns, Djite, Leckie, Jamieson, Marrone etc to bigger spending overseas and interstate clubs

The thing I didn't understand with leckie, is why didn't the barrel boys sign him to a contract so he couldn't leave for free...

Different feeling. Players leave AU because they can.
Players leave the Mariners because we have to sell them to pay for next week's players wages!

I do sympathise with your mob Wedgie, they have to sell their good players to make ends meet.
And just to make the rest of the A-League stand up and take notice the Brisbane Roar have announced that Matt McKay is a fair chance of returning in January. Things havnt worked out well in Scotland and he is looking to come back.
Wonder how the Roar can afford to squeeze him in

Having been at the game and not watched the replay on Fox yet, the move by Kosi to start Golec looked like a master stoke. Looked right at home and has a bit of mongrel in him. Another thing you don't see (and appreciate) during the broadcast is the players work rate off the ball, Cam Watson must be the fittest player at the club, he spends the whole game sprinting between defence and attack.

Special mention to Warner the Wellington keeper who played along with the fans at the southern end during the first half. Took all the jibes and banter in good spirit. The fans almost went easy on him out of respect.

You will find MM that all LB and RB over the world spend the whole game running from defence to attack. But IMO they would ahve to be the fittest players in a squad to do what they have to do.

Get in there!!
There must have been some serious issues bubbling away in the dressing room.

Our squad should never have been floudering hear the bottom. Beating the Heart away is no small achievement. They have been playing some great football recently and were the form team of the comp.

Onward and upward!
