Poker isn't a sport, but its a great game to watch. Even more so in the last wsop when it was on 15 minute delay...

Poker is great theatre, full of highs and lows with great strategy.

Golf-Any 'sport' where you can be good at 40yo & borderline obese isn't a sport. Leisure activity sure.

Horse racing-Farcical just an excuse to whip the shit out of horses, even though they're the ones doing all the work.

Motor sports-Just never understood the fascination with them. As long as your motor vehicle of choice can get you from point A to point B that's all that matters in my books. I can understand the attraction to drag racing but doing laps all day like the V8's or going around in circles a million times like Nascar, to quote Mr Horse "No, sir, I don't like it".

considering that all other motor sports there no where to pass or you cant pass as blocking is becoming the majoor issue in them, NASCAR is desgined yes to go round and round in circles as you say, but at least anyone of the 43 drivers can win and you can actually pass someone, instead of being like ants, and following the driver in front of you round and round the track with maybe ONE corner to actually have a chance of a pass

Golf bores me as well, but if being able to be played at the highest level only by fit under 40 year olds was a prerequisite for something to be a sport then a lot of other would also lose their right to be called sport, just to name a few,

Darts
Lawn Bowls
10 pin bowling
Croquet

this is the Oxford's definition of sport

an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment:

I guess we need to know the definition of physical exertion to decide what's sport and what's not

Those that listed tennis as a boring sport aren't watching the right players :D

Personally not a real fan of swimming, and rugby bores me to tears. A sport where, to move it forward, you throw it backwards, does little for me.

Tennis - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Test cricket - happy to watch all shorter versions of the game but i have better things to do than watching blokes stand around in 40c heat all day and doing not much else.

*edit* - agree with Jim05 for the best part - womens anything (except netball) is crap.
Test Cricket is the only form I bother to watch.
Otherwise I watch AFL, and occasionally Hockey.
I've played Soccer, and had training in horse riding - dressage and jumping - but don't get much out of watching either.

Many sports are more interesting to play than they are to watch.
Golf tops my boring list - even to play.
As a 14 year old I was being free lessons by a local pro who saw me as a potentially good player, but even that couldn't keep the boredom away.
I've played about 4 rounds since...

Why is A League an option for sports?
Id vote for soccer but I wouldnt vote for the A League.
And where is cricket? Id watch the occasional over of Big Bash but nothing else.

Golf
Cricket
Soccer

Ironically Ive played all 3 and was a captain and committee membet at a cricket club for 10 years!
