I recall reading that regional teams like that was part of the early plans. The ACT were going to have a team I recall. Not sure.

It's a bit like the WWE, just manufactured entertainment with the result being of no consequence.
Great to see big crowds at so called domestic games but have had these crowds in previous years when it was state based anyway.
Cant honestly say that the quality has improved tho as the talent is just more spread out over 8 teams.
