was a visitor to Goolwa on Thursday and noticed alot of bird activity on Goolwa oval. The oval was not looking flash. Have the birds done the damage or has the oval been cord like they do on golf greens?

Encounter Bay won the twenty20 Final yesterday. batted first and made 1/185. Ryan Edwards played one of the best innings i've seen to finish 117 not out. Jase Parry 30 not out. in reply willunga finish at 7/130 odd i think. were 4 down really early on and never got back into the game. McPhail made 60 odd not out.

Hope everyone had a solid Christmas period!!!

Well done to Enc Bay for winning the T20, they are also hosting the 'Fuller Cup' Sunday against Mt Compass in a 50 over game starting at 10am. Get around it fans should be a good game, although Compass,s record has been great in this fixture, but theres nothing like playing and beating the Bays!!!! :goodman:

Whats going on between Mc Laren Districts and Aldinga?? Hear that Chambers and Schofield are wanting to move clubs??.. People talk to me is this true and if so why?? Bit late to transfer isnt it? AND if the league doesnt approve, how welcome are they at Aldinga... Neg,s!!

Stay solid fans and see ya after the break!!

I heard that Schofield is a done deal & that Aldinga are being difficult with Chambers as he isnt financial with the club. Also heard that Hamish Robertson was reported on Saturday in the game against Goolwa? Can any one shed some light on what occurred there? I think that Hamish just needs to concentrate on his on field performances & maybe block everything else out because he is one of the most talented bloke ive seen, he definitely has the skill and ability to win a few cricketer of the year awards over the next few years!!!

Not sure on the specifics of the incident but if what im hearing is true then the association is setting a pretty poor precedence for this type of thing.

what was the story in the goolwa willunga game. lots of wickets with not many runs and most of the over were played out, was the oval slow? or just tight bowling?

Combination of both really, the oval wasn't as quick as normal but it wasn't slow either, all bowlers leaked few runs apart from Evans who went for nearly half willungas total. Goolwa wanted to win so they took there time in chasing the total down.

What a Joke! how doe's a side lose to a second eleven? how serious do these guys take it? Need a good hard look at themselves. Last time GSCA played invitation they made 360 odd.

we copped a couple of iffy decisions after already losing a few quick wickets in the middle of our innings. parry and tucker did well to give us something to bowl at. we had them 5/70 or so then cam cox from mt compass came out and hit 49 not out in real quick time and got them over the line. we were in the game but he batted well and took it away from us. we didnt play well but we had our chances to win and didnt take them, they did. simple really.

Been a bit quiet on here lately lads..

Just wondering why the mycricket fixture has Encounter Bay vs Pt Elliot in A Grade (the final minor round game) being played at Elliot oval.

I reckon I previously saw it listed at Mt Compass, and assumed it was a typo.

I know the AFL pre-season game is on there on the 10th March? Is this the reason for the shift? The pitch too hard for footy.

Can any Enc Bay or Elliot boys confirm?
