i agreed to extend that for another season so they could put a few more pieces of the jigsaw in place for the future
im helping with the new coaches and players that will take it into the future
i will be heading in a different direction because of opportunities and challengers that have been offered to me
i will give this season everything i can but i do know that the club is in great hands which makes it a bit easier for both parties
i would have thought alot of people would like to see and hear the end of me quicker but that will have to wait a little

Where's this blockbuster?

at this stage the MCG is booked and both ADELAIDE OVAL and FOOTY PARK are booked,so we will down size a little and play at OVIES
still a few points to go through but i think you will find the Bgrade will start at 12.15 and the A grade at 2.15
but i will keep the thousands, and i mean thousands, of interested spectators in the loop

we are probably the same size as the others centre square
even tho it is small it is a very beautiful ground and alot harder to play on than most people know

i believe they are playing eastern park c grade
at this stage we still dont have a complete picture to how many players we have with still about 11 to come back from overseas and the the injury list from last year
we look like we will have more than enough for the one team every week but to be honest until march when i get out their hopefully i wont really know

must admit that im a bit jumpy and nervous heading into this week which because of work will be my first on the track this season
as i enter my 38th and last year involved in footy i must admit that my love for the game has never deminished
this being the case,it does not get any easier
as we grow older we like to rember what the game used to be like and how much it has changed
in fact the game has never really changed, just peoples ideas of the game, how it should be played and whats the best course to take to get the best out of your clubs
the actual game is still the same
goals ,points, team work, individual brilliance ,umpires and the one eyed love of your team and club
one thing that has changed the most is the coach, his methods and ideas
this is one of the reasons im leaving the game but as most will tell you,its about 37 years to late
as this season approaches i am really looking forward to the part of the game i love
my team, the opposition, everyone getting the best out of themselves and that bond that all players and coaches have from all clubs, the love of the game

Good luck Deeman, you have a great attitude to the game. And it is a game. Some of us get a bit too serious and some of us understand. You understand. Best wishes.
