Dont mean to be disrespectful but went to the Mansfield Park Hotel today,in the front bar there was a Matthew Primus photo framed, the plaque stated Phar Lap-Matthew Primus.Maybe soon whoever the fastest runner at Port will have their photo and plaque saying Black Caviar.

Yeah it's hard to see them finishing much higher but I believe they will improve and win more matches. They've got to start by making AAMI a fortress. It used to be a daunting assignment playing the Power at Footy Park and that is what they to get back. If you can't win at home then you are no show for the eight.

Absolutely agree. Something that both SA sides need to improve on as unfortunately for SA footy even the crows are not intimidating at AAMI anymore.

Don't worry...
When we have run them completely into the ground we'll pick up the remaining bits of any value, relocate them, rename them, change the colours, and make it all worthwhile.

I think Port will improve next season, getting Brad Ebert, Renouf and now McCarthy into there team suggests there should be some, even if it is small but still some improvement.

I think the improvement is a given but this might not mean a big jump in ladder position. The teams immediately above them are also looking to improve. Richmond look about ready and I believe that Mitch Clark will improve Melourne's forward line. Freo look set to improve as Ross Lyon is no dill even though his game plan is shithouse to watch. Brisbane were more competitive than Port last year and I can see improvement in them as well. The only teams on the down for mine include Western Bulldogs who have lost a lot of players over the past two seasons and St Kilda who just haven't brought the kids through in recent years but it's hard to see the Power overtaking them this year.

I'm hopeful of 6-8 wins in 2012.

Butcher, Schulz, Ebert, Gray, Westhoff gives us something to kick to up forward with all of them capable of contested marking.

Trengove, Chaplin, ( a much fitter by all reports ) Carlile and we have the nucleus of a back 6.

Lobbe,Renouf,Cassisi,Boak,Ebert,Hartlett,Rodan is starting to look like a sound mid-field.
PAFC. Forever.

LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!

6 - 8 wins sounds about right. More than 8 would be a bonus, less than 6 would caste serious doubt on mattresses future.

Another multi million dollar loss reported for the club not good at all.

I dont think Westhoff fits into that forward line. By all reports you guys will be blooding butcher at FF and with Shultz as a CHF, then also a resting ruckman down there (I believe Lobbe and Renouf will play together). Not really much Room for Westhoff in my opinion. What do you reckon Boon?

I've thought the same thing actually. Westhoff may be relegated to the interchange bench, perhaps he'll rotate with Schulz and Butcher.

I think the ruckman will also change off the bench.

The continued evolution of Butcher is the most important thing for the Power.

A guy who could be a match winner, and the sort of player that, if he evolves, is a cash cow for the club.

I thought you'd lose your Trengroves, Boaks and Butchers but they've all stayed. Keep your young list together and the bums on seats issue will resolve itself. There is potential there you just need to make all the right moves off the field for a while.
