Not surprised with Centrals due to the distance for a lot of their fans to travel.

Most North supporters have a lot further to travel than West or the Eagles.

The fact that Norwood draw less than the Eagles would also be the fact that a lot of the Norwood supporters have to travel much further,

Having said all of that, there generally seems to be more North suporters than South at the games at Noarlunga.

There's more light towers than South supporters at Noarlunga.

Must say, Most clubs supporters stand out at Noarlunga as they tend to congregate in the one area. North supporters tend to stand out more as many wear their distinctive club colours.

South have grown their home attendances each year for the last six (now about 2300 av). We are aiming for an average of 3000. I suspect this year may see significant growth.

You would think that will be the case with the improved on-field performances is season 2011 and some good recruiting again.

Over the past six years South have grown their avg crowds by about 800 per game.

How many of these 800 are growth in visiting fans and how many are new supporters South are generating in their area?

I would suggest more the later than the former.

One area at Noarlunga no one notices is the clubrooms at the back of the Jimmy Dean grandstand, each home game there would be at least 100-200 mainly South fans enjoying the footy from the indoor vantage points, probably the best encolsed viewing area in the SANFL (bar maybe the Central corporate box, and back of Bob Quinn stand at Alberton).

As I have stated before in recent years South, West and the Eagles traditionally with the smallest of home crowds have worked hard to grow them and are achieving results. The weakest links are getting stronger.

From 2008 to 2011
South from 1931pg to 2283
West from 1670pg to 2837
Eagles from 2056pg to 2573

Grammatically, it should be "WHOM should South play on Good Friday?", but otherwise it doesn't really matter... ;)
