Hogg Shield 2012 Seedings thread

Greetings Hoggsters. I've been working on who will be in what Hogg Shield leagues for next season and the eighteen team league scenario has certainly shaken the promotion situation up a bit. These seedings lists will be the list of players who will be invited to take their place in the Hogg Shield for season 2012.

If for any reason that player does not accept their place for 2012 then the highest seed from the league below will take their place. This would create a flow on effect right through the grades if say a Premier League coach did not defend his place. During the election last year most of you didn't want new coaches jumping the queue so that means new coaches will only be able to go up one league if coaches above them drop out. This means that existing coaches who remain loyal to the Hogg will benefit from signing up again.

This thread will be updated whenever news comes to hand of new coaches signing up or if existing coaches pull the pin.

The figure is the 2011 points score for that coach.

Well the Hogg Division VI has been run and won as you can tell if you have looked at the Grand Final thread. Well done to the Greedy Guns on your premiership. The other winners in this Division are the top four sides going up to Division IV next season. That's right Division IV. Those that don't get promoted will be competiting in Hogg Division V as this entire division is going to be ranked ahead of the Piglet league.

Teams in Green are to be promoted to Hogg Division IV. The bottom four might not necessarily be demoted to Bunny Bowl as I am aiming to put the bottom sixteen coaches in there so watch this space. It looks like JJ's Jrunks in particular won't be in the warren at this stage and possibly the Glory Shed as well but Parky and the Private look to be certs for fluffy tails and big floppy ears.

Remember at this stage that these league ratings are provisional. Last season we had a new coach Hairy Chequebook go into the Bunny Bowl last year and he didn't lose a game until the Grand Final (OUCH!). What I'm trying to avoid is having gun teams in the Bunny Bowl. While not wishing to be too cruel mate your tally of 43731 puts you in the upper reaches of the Bunny where as your fellow bottom four team mate JJs Jrunks outscored you by nearly 2000 points which is whey they didn't go down. This means your mb, Parky and Private Frotherty will get demoted. Now if a new team comes in and ranks less than yourself I'll put you up into V. It's a long way from Feb 1 mate so that can still happen. It doesn't make much sense to put you in Divvy V and say Brodlach into the Bunnny Bowl as he scored over 8000 more points than you last season Overall the aim of the Bunny is to have a competitive league for the bottom end coaches.

If you don't want to be in Bunny consideration, score more points.
