When playing in a 20/20 if you bowl powderpuffs you can not bowl a good length or short of it....Henriques and Bravo were both tonked.

Jaques played good towards the end where I thought he was a bit slow to start.....pretty lucky innings considering he was out very very early.

Birt top 20/20 innings

Brett Lee easily the best bowler, still got it.

HOB HURRICANES 3/169 [20]
JAQUES 73[55] was out early, did his job, not as good as he was b4 the back packed in
BIRT 65[41] Boom Boom Birt, keep repeating this, but an awesome limited overs basher

SYD SIXERS 9/127[20]
MADDINSON 33[27]
SMITH 28[28]
henREBiques 22[17] good
KREJZA 2/20[4] very good
DOHERTY 1/20 [4] very good
NAVED 4/22 [4] the absolute superstar bowler in this comp, amazing amazing amazing amazing bowler

SS average batting effort against the best attack in the comp
TA Premiership contenders with this attack, but will rely far too much on Birt to make runs
SS just a nothing team and cant win the comp

MADDINSON
Innovative , impressive
Has no genuine power, but makes the most of his batting with deft shots and interesting footwork
Happy 20th birthday as well, he shares the same birthday as Frank Zappa, Jane Fonda , Karrie Webb, and Kel Nagle

MY VOTES
3 BIRT

Hobart into 2nd favourite at moment at $5.50
Cant believe the Stars are favs at $5, they look ordinary
Adelaide good value at $6
Latest Odds
Stars 5
Hurricanes 5.50
Thunder 6
Strikers 6
Renegades 6.50
Sixers 8
Scorchers 10
Heat 15

PONTING 17[19] useless, soaked up too many balls, put the rest of the line up under pressure
BIRT 40[30] very good batsman
SHAH 24[19] interesting batsman, might be ok, slow and poor runner
TRIFFIT 20[15] did ok

BEER 2/18[4] outstanding effort
EDMONDSON 4/40[4] too expensive !!!!!
MARSH 0/25 [4] bowled better than that, impressive

Poor effort by the Hurricanes, wooden spoon contenders on that effort

________________________________________________________________
Wooden Spoon post was made in reference to their poor batting in game 1
________________________________________________________________

Their bowling is the best in the comp, that gives em a chance to win the cup
The batting is very iffy
Take out Boom Boom Birt form the top order, and its an ordinary batting line up

Question:

I noticed Brisbane Heat had JDRF in big letters on their uniform, does anybody know if that's a sponsorship or does each team have an allocated charity?

MELB RENEGADES 3/188 [20]
V DADS ARMY
FINCH 49[40] ok, fractured rib when hit by Edmonson ?
MCDONALD 50[33] whoever thought of opening with Macca deserves credit, looks an opener
MAXWHIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRL 31 [15] dropped 1st ball , then exploded, sensational player
REARDON 22*[15] lovely batsman
RAZZAQ 27* [17] one of the best hitters in the world
BEER 2/28[4] another good bowling effort , mouthed of at Maxwhirrrrl when he got him out
HOGG 1/22 [4] very very very good effort in this massive total, and had Maxwhirrrrrrrrrrrrl dropped 1st ball

And the next batsman in was Boom Boom Afridi !

MAXWELL
Im tipping Maxwhirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl will be in the 20/20 International team within 12 months
Has amazing timing and bat speed
Ive seen this in another batsman going back to the 1960/70s
That man was Douggie Walters, and he was a ripper as well

What is it with second choice spinners? MacGill (second to Warne) and Beer (second to any average state spinner) being arrogant and angry men?

Gee the renegades are doing everything possible to lose this one!

One good sign is the fitness of shaun marsh looks good, batting well and plenty of running in the field and out in the middle.

If the Rebegades lose its due to the crap captaincy of McDonald. No idea on how to set a field, gave Gibbs too many easy runs.
Good to see the Gun Marsh doing well.
