Test any comment ??????? on recruits or losers

Well its Friday, Turk should get home from his weekly pub meet around 7:30 - 8, check back in after that and he might have some insightful opinions for you, seeing as your so interested.

You're normally well informed Test perhaps you can offer something insightful
but I dont think the club has been told anything official as yet

But Im sure it will be the old story of "money talks and bullsh$t walks"

and yes its beer o'clock so off to the pub for a B and BS session :D

I believe as far as a few players go the people that matter have been told about their movements.

Test you may well be correct in the what the club does and does not know ... I do not speak for the club

Anyway good luck to the blokes concerned if it all turns out to be true.. you are only young once and these opportunities are limited.

The club will continue to function when these blokes and myself are just memories..... both good and bad.
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Have heard something about UFC changing to Mercedes OC.
Also changing colours and gurnseys!
Heard this from a mate who said he was leaving the club for this reason!!

I hear the Unley Mercedes Jets is a done deal. Is this a case of a club selling it's soul for the purpose of a supply of 0 point players?

There is an affiliation between the Unley Jets and Mercedes OS and we will be playing under the name 'Unley Mercedes Jets' for 2012. It is not a full blown merger, this may or may not eventuate in the future. In 2012 we will be playing under the same guernseys, with the small inclusion of a badge acknowledging Mercedes.

This has come about as a significant portion of Unley's playing group are ex-Mercedes, Mercedes were looking to provide an official outlet for its old scholars and the Unley Jets see it as an opportunity to expand and strengthen the club on and off the ground.

There is no change to the junior structure which will remain as the 'Unley Jets' and both the juniors and seniors will continue to operate as one united club.

This move is not taken lightly and has come about after a long negotiation process.

Be interesting to see what the Unley High School boys think about all of this, as well as half the Junior program are either Concordia, Unley High or Scotch boys. How do you feel being an Ex Unley High boy on this?

Who's your mate leaving the club Muffler?

Obviously the extra players/off-field support will help all involved... be interesting to see how it goes. Was a landslide result from a vote I hear, so seems big majority are keen to give it a go.

I'm for it. Obviously the move has its pros and cons particularly for those, including me, without a Mercedes background, but overall I think it will strengthen the club and provide some new opportunities. IMO what the club is called doesn't really matter (so long as we are still the Jetters!).

The junior program is continuing totally unchanged so this move should not affect the junior side of the club.

The player you are speaking of Muffler I think will stay, but if he leaves, it would be primarily due to having mates at another club, not the name change.

To be honest I think it puts a lot of pressure on the Club to have a good season, with the expected influx of players and the Bs and Cs being reigning premiers. Outsiders will be very quick to have a crack if things don't go well on the field. But I'm confident Hally and the boys are ready for that and hopefully are in for a big year

Yeah i will take back that call as if he moves it will be to play with Mates. Hmm still interested to see how this one works out. Zedman many players there are from Mercedes throughout the grades but still a fair majority from other schools around the area.

Half the team are the Khabbaz brothers - all Mercedes lads

It is an interesting development considering Mercedes were looking to form their own club.

Nah in the A grade team not many merc boys. But at the club 4 khabbaz boys, Kelly brothers, Lundborg bros, Scott tregenza I'm pretty sure, jock oconnell so a few there. But as I said I don't think this will last too long

Also from As - Chettle, Rodger, Petch and O'Callaghans are Mercedes (I'm pretty sure... Jetters am I right?)
and heap of young B/C graders.
I would say definitely more Mercedes than Unley, Scotch or Concordia students

point being why merge? its not like unley is on its knees..

if B and C grade won flags..the merger has to be to strengthen the A grade? or are they just greedy for more players? or are they being taken for a ride by a group who may splinter off down the track?
