How much play if any will we get in today?

Not much I would suggest it has just started raining on and off at Craigmore.

Looking at the radars, although it does look a little bleek, there appears to be a slight chance that the heaviest of the showers will miss Elizabeth around lunch time, so fingers crossed that is the case.
If I were a home side, I would leave the setting up of the matting as late as possible, just incase a quick down pour came and ruined chances of getting away..

Hopefully those clubs with juniors will also do the right thing and bring in mats if the rain gets too heavy.

IF.. it were to rain out today, who would be the biggest losers if you would from the day?
On paper you would say Central United & Rose & Crown.

I missed opportunity to secure valuable points/win could be all the difference come end of season..

Also maybe a missed opportunity for with OTH or Smitty and it may help VIrginia stay in touch with top 4 as long as no play at either Westies or in the OTH/Smitty game.

Hopefully the rain can hold off until 7pm(very unlikely) as am very keen to play today to finish off 2011. Good luck to all those who do get a start.

Clearly it would be M.Bedgegood, already claiming the bowling trophy is his to lose

Witnessed a bit of bad sportsmanship today in the one tree hill Craigmore game. Everyone knew rain was forecast today and a full days play was probably unlikely, so when the rains came you would think it was no suprise. Play was called off during the 2nd innings with Craigmore batting. The one tree hill opening bowler actually slipped at the crease and hit the deck due to the rain and slippery condition. Quite rightly the official umpire deemed conditions unsafe and stopped play. Yet certain Craigmore players made a song n dance about it, even argueing with one tree hill players as if it were there fault. A game played in good spirits with no issues until the end there. Bit of a shame to be honest

speaking of rain what great sportsmanship shown in div 7 by central united as rose n crown batted first and made 6/184.... centrals were 4/40ish after 15 overs in reply when the heavens opened up we thought no way they will stay out n play.... but the young fellas at the crease said no way we wanna bat even though they had no chance of winning.... they finnished at 8/99 after 40 overs....
