Microwaves are not dangerous so long as their shielding is OK and the doors close properly to prevent leakage. The Sleeping Giant wrote:Life is short Psyber, and I'm here for a good time. The issues you have raised are all first world problems, and none of them will keep me up at night.
The most baffling thing about all this is why you have a microwave if they are so dangerous?
P. S. You really should watch the south park episode on medical cannabis.

However, the adequacy of shielding may vary depending on who makes them and whether they skimp on it.
So I buy known brands and I don't stand close to them while they are running, just in case.
I only introduced here something about brain activity that had nothing to do with fields, and someone else added in the electromagnetic field related issues.
Somebody else chucked in Microwaves too, while trying to present me as a Luddite and thus disparage the medical research I posted about.
I simply responded to those comments.
What we are seeing here is a pattern of using side issues to obscure and diminish the issue I raised by certain people who don't like their habits disturbed by reality.
As I said before, it is a variation on shooting the messenger if you don't like the message.

I posted a legitimate, and data supported, medical warning, hoping it would enable people to use their judgement.smac wrote:To think you would be anything but ridiculed is weird and irrational.
Don't turn up to a party uninvited and tell people the music is crap. They'll get stuck into you.

I didn't intend to say anything else on this forum thereafter, but just leave it as an aside.
However, I felt the need to reply to some of the weird responses I got rather than let them go.
The aggressive and irrational responses here do suggest the idea that the brain is modified by gaming is correct.
I don't belong to any religion or cult, and always start out from a sceptical position with anything new I come across.
I've been watching this type of research for a while, and there is now enough of it to give it some credence, and to sound a note of warning to those at risk..
(Even the W.H.O. is urging caution - as I pointed out when you called it "dribbe" and "fake stats".)
