DP will be a great pick up for either Crows or Port Pirie Power ...... and Power should have kept Lower.
Mark Williams again shows his poor judgement of players..... added to Tom Harley Joel Patfull etc.

Patful is an average player, and not a huge loss. Harley was competing against players such as Wakelin and Paxman at Port, and although Tom would have been handy at Port, there was nothing to indicate he would be the player he became.

Port has made errors with list management, especially within last 3 or 4 years, but they've also made some good decisions as well during their time in the AFL.

Power would kill for some average players like Patful. Back to SANFL please.

The rookie listing of T-Mac is a big surprise. Well done to him.

That's 14 players drafted from Norwood I'm two years. The interesting point is only four of those were u18.

Well, I assume so but I think there is a young Tim McIntyre out at the Bays as well?

Assuming it is the Sturt FC's Tim McIntyre though.

Even if it was the Glenelg Tim McIntyre, we might as well call him Sturt's, given the current trend in player transfers.... :(

While I'm here: could someone explain to me exactly what is a "rookie draft", and what it means to be drafted as a "rookie"? How does this differ from a normal draft? This thing happening today is just for rookies, right?

This is incorrect. What about Justin Clarke from North Adelaide by Brisbane at pick #4?

I hope we do the right thing and give the APY lands community any financials they come out of Amos Frank's rookie listing.

A Rookie List player is additional to the primary list. They aren't eligibile to play unless they are elevated to the senior list, either to replace a retired player or a player with a long-term injury. There's the midyear nomination when a club can elevate a rookie to the list and also if a club hasn't got 2 veterans they can nominate 2 rookies to take their spot (Carlton did this with Ed Curnow & Zac Tuohy)
