Ease up kids!
Belair's ground is unique in that there is an abundance of various animal's... leavings! It is not that fun to play on.
As far as everyone elses ground goes there are many that are no up to standard, Plympton Oval 2-3 years ago was an absolute disgrace, 15 years ago it was a bowling green, and its on the mend again but by no means is it fantastic, its all swings and round abouts.
Western Youth is a great surface but about the size of a postage stamp, all grounds have thier good points and bad points.
With regard to making drinks or afternoon tea available for the opposition - ho hum - its not going to ruin my day if i don't get a tim-tam during a game of cricket. Plympton Make about 5 or 6 jugs of flavoured soda water available at each interval, as well as water jugs, but most clubs don't drink it anyway because they are not used to the opposition supplying it! So who cares?
So to the clubs that put on a spread, well done. To the ones that don't, meh, no issue!
