Love watching Warner play, one of the best on drives in the business, just looks so sweet off the bat.
Aus 0/47
Warner 29
Hughes 13

Time to take it out of the players hands and the 3rd umpire should be reviewing anything close.
The reason Hughes is still there is 1/ the umpire got it wrong and 2/ bcos the fielding side only has 2 reviews, they're reluctant to use them early in an innings.
As a result. we have a batsman still in that should be OUT. The whole idea of the use of technology is to get more decisions right. This incident just proves that the authorities havent got the system right yet. Maybe the fact that India refuse to use it is justified.

Agree
The referral system has become a tactic

AU 0/47
WARNEr 29*[36] playing very very well
LITTLE PHIL 13 *[47] his 2 cover drives for 4 were awesome

The referral system is there to stop the howler and minimise controversy.

NZ can't complain to anyone about what happened with Hughes because they had the opportunity to refer it.

The system isn't perfect but I think its better than the alternatives.

0/72 Tea
Warner 47
Hughes 20
Great start by the openers.
Would love to see them get big 100's
Very impressed with the way Hughes is letting a lot go and being very patient. NZ field setting is digraceful, deep square leg to Hughes :?

AU 0/72
WARNEr 47*[50] beautiful batting, playing his shots, the way he must always bat at this level
LITTLE PHIL 20*[64] good !

19 overs of very good batting by the much MALigned lefties, in difficult conditions

Here is a great opportunity for Little Phil
IF hes gets good runs, and is retained, he has the Indian pop gun attack [except Sharma] to feast upon
The pitches are prob gunna be flat from here on in the Test matches

Starc has been the least impressive of the new breed, and Siddle, Cummins, Pattinson and Lyon should very quickly become the regular attack, form, fitness, and of course another star bursting onto the scene, not withstanding...

Well that is really his only point of difference.
Ben Cutting should have played the last Test before him, and IMO even Peter George would be a better option than Starc...

George is ok but I feel that Cutting and even Copeland are in front of him.

Warner was looking good, he plays his shots thats for sure, I hope he can get a big score. Hughes just needs to hang in there at this stage.

Yeah your probably right there about Starc. When cummings is back and firing there is no doubt that there isnt room at the moment for any of those players I mentioned. It looks like Cummings, Pattinson and Siddle seem to be the best option at the moment. Next in the order you would think would be Copeland and Cutting with perhaps some of the older guys like Harris a bit further down the list. Also further down I guess you would expect to find George, Starc etc.
