For 77 overs this game was played in good spirits but when a bloke takes a catch and falls over the boundary in front of the Smitty A,B & C grade it's not a good idea to claim the catch. Unfortunately he did. Thats cool though, for a bloke that bats at 11, doesn't get a bowl and runs from deep long on to deep long on each over what else would you expect - professional fielder.
Looking forward to running into him during the two dayer.

That guy IS a professional fielder... never seen him do anything more than bat 11 and field.

To be a good fieldsmen you have to atleast be fair when crunch comes to crunch. If what ive heard is true then the bloke needs to maybe go play softball or something, not cricket, don't need to ruin the great game, at the end of the day if it is a 6 its a 6 and the batsman deserves the runs. And to do it in front of the home teams crowd, bit blatant. Umpires can't see everything, so you have to trust the opposition and if you cant even do that then the game aint fun anymore. What a Loser!!!!!

Spewin i wasnt there for the game, you are right there lucky, can't wait to play them next time. Hope every other team watches them with every move they make, obviously cant be trusted. Is a shame it puts a bad name against Virginia, always thought they were ok, but only takes one man mistake to give the team a bad name

Not really, we are not there to lose though but not really fussed, just using a bit of a rotation system with who is available happened this week a few of the A Grade blokes were.

Smithfield made 192 in 20 overs helped by a brilliant 121 by Ray Bickle.
Rosies were 2 for bout 50 in reply when I left.

Ray Bickle is starting to do what we all thought he could do a few years back. if it wasnt for his bad knee, the form he is in he'd be making hundreds on Saturdays. Great effort by the young fella!

Yeah cant see the point in cheating TBH. Surely living with that guilt wouldnt be a good feeling at all. At the end of the day you will lose in the long run as karma has a funny way of catching up with you. Honest mistakes i can tolerate but blatant cheating is not good for the game and causes massive controversy.

In the U/21's 40 over match this afternoon, i heard the PDCA lads got up in a tight one...chased down 146 losing 8 wkts along the way. Congrats to the two Craigmore lads involved and to the entire team on a good win.

Smithfield 6/192 (Bickle 121, C.Lowe 31*, Howell 3/29, Simpson 2/26) def. Rosies 6/171 (Mick Feltus 40, R.Figallo 27)

Some good clean hitting from both sides, Ray's innings was spectacular to watch, had the spectators ducking for cover.
