Having said that, young Ritzy bowled well and his fielding was nothing short of exceptional.

I did look at Bateson's stats and considered it heavily. Like you said advantage of being there, its hard to work out what went on from stats alone

Nevermind, you do a good job with it, will the winner get some purple goblets?

I see your point but your C's have produced some ordinary results so far this season, besides, it would look a bit suss if I drifted them out and chucked some coin on them myself.

Some ordinary results, they lost all their 2 day games outright but showed some fight last week.

1 of these teams will win their 1st game for the season, hopefully it is our boys.

Mate no one can call you a biased bookie, obviously no sub continent heritage in you!!

Smithfield V Central United
3 - N. Fenwick: Only batsman to make the most of a start, gave United a real big sniff, unfortunately lacked greater contributions around him.
2 - S. Moss: 23 runs at the lower end of the batting order and followed up with 2/22 off his 8 overs (including 9 extras  )
1 - S. Ritzema: 3/23 - pick of the United bowlers.

He was very disapointed with his self after bowling that many extras. Knowing him he will try that extra bit harder in the future to get that ball on a offstump line. Hes Just starting to find a bit of confidence again, hopefully see a few big hauls :D

Rosies d Angle Vale by 70 runs. If not for a cameo from Justin Carmen at 9, would've been total humiliation. Russell Figallo with 6/20.

Great start getting P Carmen first ball, which set up alot of pressure straight away, good effort from the skipper to win us the game..
Sals west chased down 109 in 18 overs to get the double point.. Very close at the top of the ladder now..with 2 playing 3 in finals it makes top spot handy to get I would think..

Virginia beat Smitty by 15 runs
Virginia all out 214 Smitty 8/199
For 77 overs this game was played in good spirits but when a bloke takes a catch and falls over the boundary in front of the Smitty A,B & C grade it's not a good idea to claim the catch. Unfortunately he did. Thats cool though, for a bloke that bats at 11, doesn't get a bowl and runs from deep long on to deep long on each over what else would you expect - professional fielder.
Looking forward to running into him during the two dayer.

That guy IS a professional fielder... never seen him do anything more than bat 11 and field.

It was pretty crap, right next to the cone aswell which made it even more of a poor display, it wouldve made it under 20 to win with nearly 3 overs to play and 4 wickets in hand.

Get out to Eastern Park today to watch some T20 action, the demons take on the goats at 12 then the panther take on the crowns (I think) or the roses.
Cheap drinks, bbq faicilities, get on it and support a fellow local club, should be a good day out.

yeah the club is putting on cheap beers and $5 spirits, also being the small EPFC oval there should be plenty of runs and plenty of crowd catches.

also heard there was a contentious run out with a few overs to play that would have reduced the target by about 15  any truth to that? or is it another team sooking about not being in a better position to win without the need of close calls to go their way?

EP won the first of the two T20 games bowling OTH hill out for just over a hundred. They chased it eight down with a fair few overs to spare apparently.

Not sure who OTH had playing but the EP side was made up of mainly A graders and a few B Graders.
