NZ 6/178
Dean Brownundie out for 21
The Aussies have found a weakness , his inability to play the short pitched stuff
STARc hit him on the wrist, and Pattinson got him caught behind off a similar ball
PATTISON 3/53 [19] what a star
SIDDLE 2/41[20] one of the hardest triers in Test Cricket, he belongs

Simple task for Australia
240 runs
If either Hughes or Warner can get past 20 , Australia will eat this total

Theres about 60 overs left
If I was Clarke I would tell Little Phil and Davyboy to treat it like a one day game chase

Getting out too often by pushing at offside balls

PS
Hughes and Ponting need to take guard 2 inches outside leg stump ;)
That will give Little Phil room to slash instead of poke
And will help Ponting not get out LBW...

The DRS is a FAILURE.
Time to take it out of the players hands and the 3rd umpire should be reviewing anything close.
The reason Hughes is still there is 1/ the umpire got it wrong and 2/ bcos the fielding side only has 2 reviews, they're reluctant to use them early in an innings.
As a result. we have a batsman still in that should be OUT. The whole idea of the use of technology is to get more decisions right. This incident just proves that the authorities havent got the system right yet. Maybe the fact that India refuse to use it is justified.

its certainly not a failure... players had the option to use it and they chose not to... its NZ fault not the referal system.

Off to a good start
0/26
Hughes looking very patient and letting a lot of balls go.
NZ have set a 6-3 field for Hughes but ge is still finding boundries on the off. Dont know why you would have anyone on legside for him apart from a short square leg for the one he turns off his thigh pad

yeah dont mind the system.
Wasnt a great appeal by NZ anyway, they didnt sound confident but the look on Hughes face gave it away, he knew it was glove

How about we get rid of the umpires then and just have cameras instead? The DRS works well as it is designed to get rid of the howler from the umpire, not to fire a batsman at every available opportunity
