VIC 5/94

how this team wins consistently with a stack of players with ordinary techniques is beyond me.

Heaps of bounce in the wicket.

237 BEST 1 DAY TEAM IN AUSTRALIA
Were 5/94 good recovery
FINCH 71[106]
MAXWELL50[37] one if the Best number 8 batsman in the world, must play ODI for Australia
MCDERMOTT 4/30[10.4] took a load of wkts last season, and is a better bowler now
HOPES 4/64[13] he still hazit

QL had the gimme total of 238 for an easy win

QL 225
Were 4/61
REARDON 53[80]
HOPES 39[41] still hazit
GANNON 22[11] impressive hitting
At 6/201 this game was in the keeping, but at 9/209 it was gone
MCDONALD 5/38[9.1] he still hazit

MICHAEL NESER
Averages 30+ batting at 8, a good late order batsman, made 22 [25]
His bowling ahem ...
Took 1/54[9] but did get the dangerous Maxwwwwwwwwhirl out
The 1/54 took his Ryobi career to 2 wkts for 204 at an average of 102 !!!!!!!

UMPRING
Very one sided in favor of VI
2 touch the ropes went in favor of VI
QL bowled a couple of over the head bumpers today that were called wides
Jade Herrick bowled at least 3 over the head bouncers that were not called late in this game
Cam White bowled a ball Reardon could not reach, was not called a wide
When a game is won by 12 runs, you wonder if the umpiring made a difference

In favor of VIC? Didnt see Matthew Wades dismissal where he missed the ball by a foot?

Didnt see the Matthew Wade decision
Only watched the game when VI were 6 for, and geez they gotta ride after that
Makes no diff to VI they won the game
If Wade was given not out, QL might have won !

RYOBI CUP
Each team after 6 games

SA 18
TA 18
QL 17
VI 13
NS 12
WA 0

VI are creeping up the ladder
They are the team every other team fears

NRR interesting

SA 0.218
QL 0.145
TA 0.099
VI 0. 203
NS 0.104
WA -0.762

SA has the best run rate, that will help if they finish on even points with the other teams
5 teams have a + RR , WA the only minus
WA 0 points in 6 games, and yet they have some destructive players in their line up

Missing the Marcus North steadying influence I think... Voges is not consistent enough to be the lynchpin, so they are relying on Ronchi too much, and he only specialises in flogging the Redbacks around...

Brad Hodge has retired from ODD cricket effective immediately.

Loud mouth wanker at his worst, but a sensational and skilled cricketer, particularly in limited overs cricket, at his best.

Will continue to ply his trade as a T20 player.

just noticed that NSW were without Jaques, Hughes, Starc, Hazelwood, Bollinger, Abbott, and Dan Smith...Thats alot of players that would walk into the redbacks side. Are all of them injured or is there depth just too good?

Imagine if NSW had two teams

Here is there best XI

Warner
Hughes
Khawaja
Katich
Clarke
Watson
Haddin
Okeefe
Starc
Cummins
Bollinger

Second XI
Jaques
Maddinson
Henreiques
S Smith
Roher
D Smith
Nevill
Hauritz
Lee
Hazelwood
Copeland

18 players with international experience, S smith was a test player 12 months ago and now try and squeeze him in the best XI

Jaques has retired from first class cricket in Aust. Off to play for the white rose in England on his British passport.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Tas 5 for 165, looking like they have the RqRR ubder control. Its paramount that NSW win without a bonus point to keep us in a better position.

WA's upset win over Queensland yesterday now means that SA may not even have to win their next game to host final.
Tas v QLD on Wed, if QLD win then SA will host final, a TAS win would mean we have to beat the VIC's

QLD 8/282(50)
QLD need to restict TAS to under 226 to make final.
If QLD win SA will host the final no matter the margin
