I hate to tell you "Bluedemon" that under the rules of SFL that Edwardstown juniors were to all come over by 2012 but the the SFL and Edwardstown have came to an agreement that 14's & 16's are to play in the SFL (2012) and juniors 12 and down, have 1 more year in MSJFL and then all of Edwardstown Juniors will be under the SFL by 2013.

I think they could find some problems moving to the Southern League as their numbers took a serious hit when their seniors went and rumours of the juniors moving began. The massive increase in travel time is a big turn off for parents.

The effect on the EFC junior numbers since the whole SFL shift began has been quite staggering. They went from being one of the largest and strongest clubs in the comp to a weaker club.
as you wood: For you to say the EFC has not acted in bad faith towards the MSJFL you surely must have been privy to talks between the club and the MSJFL; at risk of making false assumptions, I would think you were not.
Esteban: whats Port Adelaide of Angle Vale got to do with anything at all?

If your seniors can travel to two to three times the distnace for a game of seniors compared to sfl, it is a bit rich to claim 5- 15 minutes is the end of the world.
Brigton were the previous club to leave the SAAFL to SFL and i wouldn't exactly say they struggle. In every junior grade they have two sides, bar under 18's. In tye under 16's they have three sides

Now the pressure is on and they don't have choice. True enough some Town junior people are not happy because most of their kids are associated at SHOC and Westminster which means they would be committed to Saty footy with their schools. Plus the SHOCers arn't real keen on SFL and would affect numbers for sure. You take your hat off to Brighton because they have done it well but the southern schools don't play a saty comp and are all aligned to the clubs so they get stronger each year. Towns like their junior success but they will find SFL a different proposition.

I would think that towns will be like mvp and only field their sides on the sunday. It is quite difficult for the sides in the plains to field side on a saturday due to college commitments as you mention. I've hear they have about 40 kids in u/14's who can only play sunday football. It does mean their saturday sides are not as strong, but it does mean they will have good seniors in 5 years.

I hear you but they have cleared 26 players back to SHOC in the last 4 years. Seems the Towns and the sunday comp is a good breeding ground for SHOCs seniors. Look at SHOCs record.
