I'm remembering a bump ball catch he claimed in an ODI, believe it was off the bat of Bevan

That's the only thing I can remember where he erred, it wasn't a bump ball though, he dropped it and then gathered it in.

Correct. ;) That incident occurred in 'that' match in 94/95 when Bevan pretty much single-handedly won us the game and ironically hit Harper for 4 off the last ball. :D Reiffel also played an important role in that innings too IIRC.

Lots of off-spinners named in this thread, whereas it's the fast bowlers who traditionally cop tags like this. Symcox, Harbhajan, Botha, Matthews, Bracewell, Harris, Harper, Cullen...

I'd like to nominate the McMillans - both Brian & Craig. Brian was a hardnut who had a (un)healthy level of white line fever. He'd be the sort of bloke that if he was playing social cricket and a 15-16yo came out to bat, he'd be all over 'em like a rash, questioning their parentage etc, etc. Craig was just a basic knob. ;)

Just thinking about this, the 3 best contenders from Australia have all represented NSW in the last 20 years, although one didn't start his career there.

One I'm listening to commentate in the background as I type.
