6 team comp and we haven't won the Shield since 95 and the 50 over comp since 86/87. So we've won 1 of the last 50 titles in a 6 team league. Sure we're likely to be under average being a small state but that's pretty bad from a simple odds point of view.

Shoot SACA/Grade Comp/Players/Coaches/Adelaide Oval into the sun and start again. Couldn't go worse.

Tassie is a bit smaller than us - no excuse in being a small state IMO

Good to see the Redbacks have a good day in Perth today, they at least broke even with the Warriors ;)

Listened part of Jamie Cox tonight, same rubbish that he spoke about last year on radio about how much effort and planning goes into shield competition. This state is just so frustrating in 4 day games and i wish Darren Berry would just shut-up with stupid so called mind games, bagging the opposition before each game, about time to be humble whether SA win or lose.

Sad part about day 1 is that it could be washed out tomorrow as well, and WA can still get 6 points
SA 93
WA 1/183
Lets try and predict what could happen in one days play [day4 ]
WA clobber another 150 and declare at lunch with a lead of 240
That would still give them enough time for maximum points

OR
It rains until tea time day 4
WA declare 90 runs in front
That would give them a fluke hope of maximum points

What Im trying to say
IS
SA was so comprehensively thrashed on day 1, it would need to rain for quite a while to stop WA getting 6 points

I can agree with a few frustrated posters having a go at SA
I think its a confidence thing at the moment in 4 day cricket
If this team could just get an early season Outright or two they could be a good SS team

Yes, seems as though Berry would be very popular amongst the players as ( from the outside ) he looks to have an us against them almost football like mentality to his coaching ethos. His pre and post game comments seem to be much more like that of a bloke coaching Div 6 amatuers than a professional state coach. ;)

for once Booney is right. Berry was a b grade cricketer and is a c grade coach. his comments lack intelligence and he should be sacked IMMEDIATLY
