Must commend Central United for the way they play there cricket. They may not have a deep bowling attack, but they certainly know where to put the ball. I reckon i faced 6 of there bowlers saturday, and i didnt get many that were not on the spot. Bags is doing a good job down there with his young lads. Hopefully they get a few results that go there way this year and they stay up in grade 1. Was an excellent game of cricket, 2 teams fighting for a key victory to set there season up. We have had always had some titanic clashes with the Units over the years and they are always a pleasure to play against.

The bowling is going ok, just need the lads to improve their batting, ( im not going to improve at my age ), so hopefully we can get amongst some runs in the near future, Nuske and Thomas back will help.

That will come with a seasons taste of grade 1. we struggled last year in our first year to consistently make decent scores, but this season we have had contributions all around the board. Just need a few players to step up and control there innings rather then take on bowlers every ball. Salisbury West are a perfect example, they don't give you many chances and they just keep the scoreboard ticking over. Before you know it they have 240-250 on the board, then there tight bowling just wears you down and you make rash shots.

Rosies was lightning quick Saturday, great value.

I played out at Dublin on Saturday... if they could get grass on the ENTIRE outfield itd be a fantastic oval to play on! Good size, was even a few 3's run... but you could hit a genuine shot along the deck and get value for it (well... so it seemed whilst watching from my chair )

Bit surprised Ryan Parker from Atco couldn't get a berth. Heard several times on Saturday from a certain female scorer he took 9/50 last week but I don't know what else he has done this season apart fromon the weekend he took no wickets.

looks to me like ryan parkers name is in the selected team... a good young cricketer with alot of ability.

This Sunday (11th December) there will be round 1 of the Main North Shield to be held at Dwight Reserve (Eastern Park).
