Jsut when North supporters had exorcised their demons you bring up that game again DTM....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

In 1989 a policeman caught a North Adelaide barracker climbing over the fence at footy park
And told him to get back over the fence and watch the rest of the game :roll:

Team (a-z): Cole; Cronin; Fullarton; Johns; Klose; Lewis; Murch; O'Brien; Pratten; Russell; Sandery; Seccombe; Thomas; Trescowthick; Tymons; Tuckey; Williams; Wainwright;

No Tom Leahy - No North!
Funnily enough media reports at the time named Seccombe as the best on ground. :shock:

I thought Matthew Campbell played in this side? Had he already gone to Brisbane?

Looking at THAT North side, it really is quite stacked with talent. I remember being in the Goody hotel that day and couldnt believe it.

my cousin won a 1000 bucks that day (1989). Went to the pub with his mates the night before, and pi$$ed, said "I betcha 1000 bucks that North kick one goal for the game". Reluctantly his mates fessed up and paid. My cousin went to the game not remembering fully that he made the bet!

That is why I brought the topic up.I can't believe how a team with so much talent could only score 1 goal.
