Shocking windy conditions down there - but still some great bowls played apparantly.

Bit nicer today down here! The wind blows right up the River, and straight over the Bowls / Oval.

When they play baseball out there I have no idea how the pitcher can pitch into it....

A Son played bowls there a few weeks ago - and like earlier this week the wind was horrid (was the green next to the oval) - everyone's bowls were going all over the place - and a Lockley's local said "Just a typical day at Lockley's" ...

Can only imagine throwing a missile such as a baseball around in it

That would absolutely suck. Having to wake up at 5.30 weekdays and some Saturdays, I would hate to be waking up at that of the morning on a Sunday.
