Can we expect a breaking media interview this week announcing his retirement, going out on a high?
Na good on him, im happy for him, i was getting worried for the Grade 2 sides that would have to face him if he failed this week ;)

Sensational game of cricket yesterday played in excellent spirits, it went down to the wire where the Units needed 10 with 1 wicket in hand in the last over, good umpiring, both teams gave out close run outs and Bob was pretty chuffed to have officiated in the match.
Central Uniteds fielding is nothing short of brilliant, from Deano early in the day at short fine leg to Steve Ritzys efforts all day and an awesome catch by Woody.

Excuse any punctuation errors, I now have no commas, no colons and I have to copy and paste any time I need an m.

Personally I dont think these games will be this lopsided and I might put a few bucks on some upsets.

;) I did have reservations about the Westies game, even when we were flying two years ago we lost out there the their b grade, huge ground and it would take some getting used of to those used of playing on smaller grounds.

Must commend Central United for the way they play there cricket. They may not have a deep bowling attack, but they certainly know where to put the ball. I reckon i faced 6 of there bowlers saturday, and i didnt get many that were not on the spot. Bags is doing a good job down there with his young lads. Hopefully they get a few results that go there way this year and they stay up in grade 1. Was an excellent game of cricket, 2 teams fighting for a key victory to set there season up. We have had always had some titanic clashes with the Units over the years and they are always a pleasure to play against.

The season is alive and well, Virginia picked up Seccafien and Joss in the last two weeks to give them a fair boost, One Tree Hill put themselves in a good position with their outright win, Units will jag a few wins in the one-dayers and we are somewhere around the middle aswell.
Rosies defeating us and Central United early gave them a bit of a buffer which will help them at the pointy end of the season.
The Smithfield vs Virginia game this week looms to be another belter.

Bal: 125.

You still want Carman over Sewell instead of McIntyre.

That was lucky.

A.Bishop - I think was about 14?

But..

D. Jenner was unbeaten on 29 and R. Figallo DNB.

I have just been asked to let everybody know about the game LM. I have nothing to do with the cricket at North Pines.
I do know they have had 4 new light posts installed. Surely they would have had to get permission from the PDCA to make this game a day/nighter?

Not really, as long as both teams agree it's all good. Salisbury North have great lights but I'm not fully convinced it's a level playing field when it comes to cricket.
Good luck to them though.

Salisbury North dipping the toe into the water this weekend, proposing a day/nighter v Riverside in Div 2 for the first round of one dayers. Just working out if we (Riverside) will have a team available for Saturday night before deciding, but some of the boys are keen for it.

If it meant a couple of your better players were unavailabe due to it being a D/N match then surely you would decline?

Definitely Gold. In the end, it didn't happen primarily as we couldn't get a PDCA umpire to officiate in the time slot. Worked out well for us, with a good win. Chris Edge made a big ton and Adam Colbourne continued his good form with yet another half century.

Both void then. Only if a team gets all out a not out counts as a score, unless of course its ore than the opponents.

The bowling is going ok, just need the lads to improve their batting, ( im not going to improve at my age ), so hopefully we can get amongst some runs in the near future, Nuske and Thomas back will help.
