Consider the context set by this fragment of text:

"All six teenage offenders are known to police. The 19-year-old, of Rosewater, was released from prison three months ago, having spent 14 days in custody for previous offences."

Then consider this sentence from a statement by family members:

"We are trying to understand why this happened. It is so out of character."

THAT gives me the absolute irrits.

I dont think the family member was referring to the above mentioned 19 year old, but another person in the vehicle. Thats how I read it.

On a side note, if I were to steal a car :

1 - It would NOT be a Nissan Tiida
2 - I would not pick Torrens / Hansen Rd to speed along at all hours of the night
3 - I would not try and stuff 6 people into the car

Could they not dump the extra fuel and spare you two hours of aerial rotation?

You mean they were referring to one of the other teenage offenders, each of whom was known to the police? I have a feeling that their acquaintances were mot made at the local Blue Light Disco...

Lol.

I don't post things on facebook that I find boring to me. And if friends do post what they had for breakfast, they get hidden pretty quickly.

They couldnt have been referring to another person in the car, there were 6 teenagers in the car, all of whom were known to police. the seventh person in hospital was the innocent driver of the delivery van.

you surely cant be "known to police" and then have it be "out of character" to be breaking the law? methinks that dear old mum has the blinkers on.....

i also agree Booney, there are much more desirable cars out there ,and much better things to do with them. not that i have ever stolen a car....

the article in todays paper about a bloke who has breached his parole conditions and has gone missing, apparently has a history of violence and should not be approached. Description: aboriginal, 191cm and 122kg - who would be mad enough to approach a big ******* unit like that ffs!!

what is he doing out on parole in the first place

Bowls around the country has been put on hold for the Asia Paciffics (well ours has anyway..lol)
So no games this weekend.

A Dad and A Son headed down there earlier in the week to see the best of the best.
Shocking windy conditions down there - but still some great bowls played apparantly.
On Sunday night we had the 2 New Zealand women bowlers and NZ coach at our club for a meet and greet.

This event even made the news on Monday night !!
Got to laugh at hearing the average age of the Australian Lawn Bowls Team is younger than that of the Australian Cricket Team...lol O:)

Bit nicer today down here! The wind blows right up the River, and straight over the Bowls / Oval.

When they play baseball out there I have no idea how the pitcher can pitch into it....
