Must be the reason why we haven't heard from Half Back Flanker the past couple weeks!

Sorry, but haven't been on here much at all over the past month. Yeah don't worry numbers at training have been reasonable thus far. Had 10 of the "new recruits" out so far. As for the other 5, 3 of them are working away, 1 is back home in Mildura for Uni break, but doing pre season with his junior club up there, and the one no show, should be out next week he assures me !! Does this keep every one happy ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

What are you doing next year? I've heard you might be going to Broadview... or retiring to follow in the footsteps of your heroes cheech & chong? ;)

5 have played Div3 A grade, and 4 of them very handy Div3 R players. The rest aren't expected to be playing A grade but very handy B Graders. Also picked up a few from other clubs and some returning to the club. The best thing is extra numbers and that makes depth and thats what we need.

out of those 5 that have played a grade, how many points will they take up? think you were almost at 0 last year but if all five are worth 3 points, doesnt leave a lot of room to move

Dont players from last season drop down a point this season? And u/18 kids are worth neg points? Former juniors and other players who are home grown are worth 0.

I would imagine they could easily fit those 5 into the A grade, especially if they have a couple of their talented 18s step up, free's up more points...

Or a i wrong? :?

That was my understanding - all about promoting the juniors and maintaining home grown talent etc.
Otherwise how would any club manage to stay successfull trying to squeeze everyone under 15 points, especially if you were going up the divisions..?

3.1.1 Each player selected to play in the Senior Team of a Club will be given a base
rating of Zero (0) points with the exception of Junior Players who are selected
in that team who will be given a minus one (-1) rating.

1.4 “Junior Player” means a player under the age of 18 years who has played a minimum
of 25 games from the year in which he turns 13 years of age with the Club of an
Affiliated League with which he is seeking registration.

The player still needs to have played 25 games in an eligible junior grade for your club.

um..why would it?

we play in the SAAFL dont we?..its to foster playing juniors from your club in your A grade and to make having juniors a priority at clubs..why should I get a point off for playing a junior from say Reynella? as a club we have done nothing to deserve that..
