However both were at PADCC when Langer was based at the academy and again I don't think they played A's together. Langer was gone by the time Duffett made it to 'A' grade.

Can confirm that JL played for Port in 1990 and Brendan Julian was the other Academy player who also played at Port that year. Kenny Vowles from NT also played at Port, but unsure whether he was in the same intake as JL or not. Duffett was definitely not at Port then.

Some other 'names' from the same intake were Law, Bevan, Martyn & Holdsworth, by memory.

Old Scotch 9/102 20 overs
Pooraka 3/103 10 overs.

1st game was
Rose Park all out on last ball for 99
Pooraka 3/101 in 10 overs.

Pity you couldn’t help Gepps Cross in these 20-20 games OKC. Seems like your glory seeking might finally pay off ;)

So as a result we played on two of the crappiest hard wickets you will ever see. In the final, most bowlers were coming off a 5-6 step run up so they didnt slip on the crease due to the sand spilling over from the sandpit either side of the wicket.

When we saw this at 10.00am when we rocked up, our ground was offered and made available for both games, and was declined. We then made the same offer to Old Scoth to move the final there but their President said no. Bet he wished that he had now. Whlie it is fantastic to be given the oppertunity to play now on Adelaide Oval again the rubbish that was served up today needs to be looked at by someone. Horrible organisation. Serioulsy can't be hard to turn off a timer switch so that the sprinkers dont come on.

Adelaide Lutheran CC were the hosts, so perhaps there was a lack of communication between them and the council for the Sunday game? Can understand you guys offering Pooraka's facilities for the day, but can understand the hosts wanting to have both games at their ground with their bar facilities open and money to be made.

Good Luck to PCC for the SAMCA T20 finals as they were a class above the 3 other sides at Adelaide Lutheran yesterday.

I understand that they want to have the bar facilties open and want to make money for the club, that's all well and good. But if they screwed up the chance they had leaving the sprinklers on then it's their own fault and should have to suffer $0 taken for the day.

Gepps cross aren't in this T20 so maybe do a little research before bagging me... Also gepps cross don't give a crap about T20, I did most of the organising for the games last year and didn't even play for the club. We play gepps on the 13th of December.... Calendar circled trust me.

Do clubs really want to play cricket. I had a phonecall from our under 17 coach Sunday at 12.30, he was at the away ground with his players ready for the days action. There was no one to be seen from the opposition, the pitch was playable but not marked. I rang the secretary of the side they were playing against who informed me the curator couldnt get on the pitch and there coach was going to contact our coach. I explained its 12.30 game starts at 1 and no contact has been made and that our boys are at the ground, the reply i got was sorry see ya later.
I went to the oval at 2 and the pitch was rock hard, just needed a quick roll and marked.
Pathetic effort

Golden Grove it says on the fixture... I use to play for them. The club was poorly run when I was there, but has since changed hands and to their credit they have always had pretty good curators there (if held at home ground) so something isn't right there. I can't see them doing that on purpose.

what has happened with all the rain leading up to Lunch Saturday they have decided that they wouldnt be getting on to prepare a wicket. The game was at wynn vale oval, with the rain stopping Lunch Saturday and all the wind that flies thru at wynn vale the pitch by lunch Sunday was rock hard and cracking. Yes it is hard to have a curator available on Sundays as we all have lives, the dissapointing thing was not letting our club know. I have since been advised that the lady that runs the Jnrs at GG rang ATCA on Saturday to advise there will be no game and if they could advise the umpires. The lady then rang Pt Districts not Ingle Farm and advised them they couldnt get a wicket up. Pt Districts thinking it was the club who ever they were meant to be playing rang there players and they didnt turn up to there away game which would of gone ahead. Debacle but a honest mistake.
