TA 217
VI 94
TA 288
VI need 411 to win
VI 7/258

BIRD
Jackson Bird on debut is killing VI with the ball, The Vics have no answer, particularly with Finch not playing
5/35 [13]
4/59[25.2]
9 wickets on debut and a chance to get 10 wickets
Would be interesting to compare other best debuts in the SS

TA were 5/87 both digs when the 5th wicket was taken
10/174 for the top order of the batting both digs
10/331 for the bottom order

Tassie win outright and move up to 2nd.
They would be very happy sitting back now and watching the weather ruin other teams chances of maximum points

Kurtis Patterson has just completed a century on first class debut for the Blues.

Out for 157.

What do NSW do differently than every other state? They just continue to produce quality. People complain about the national team being mainly people from NSW but there is a reason for that.

It was his 2nd innings but first game

The cricket.com profile also says he has played 3 ODI's.

The 123 and 20 were in a Youth Test against the West Indies.

Patterson in his first and so far only innings in this match became the youngest debutant centurion in Australian domestic history.

I don't know CK, the worrying thing is that he didn't bat through injury in the last match, so I wonder why he played at all...

WA captain Marcus North could not take his place in the batting line-up due to a back injury for the second time in 10 days after the same condition afflicted him against Victoria in the Ryobi Cup on November 16.

For the same reason SA doesn't, a very strong district scene. However, the Shield Table isn't a good look right now.

4 times the population doesn't hurt.

Ask cricket NSW and they'll tell you good cricketers come knocking.
