Siddle will lead the bowling lineup. Good match in this round of shield games or the aust A game and you could be in

Cutting and Pattinson to both make their debuts?
Wouldnt be suprised if Starc got the nod though

cutting didn't do his chances any good in the Aust A game
He got 1/89 from 20
Pattinson was the pick of the bowlers taking 4/96 but he was also expensive.
Tough job for the selectors in their first test

Siddle and Copland will play.
The hilf will play IMO as he will take advantage of the gabba conditions with his swing bowling.
Would love to see Pattinson debut though

Top 6 is settled IMO
Warner
Hughes
Khawaja
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Keeper - Haddin or Wade, but the 3 outs from last test may save Haddin
Lyon is safe you would thing along with siddle

2 bowlers must come in.
Copland should be next in line after touring SA
One spot and probably only for one test - the hilf to get the nod

Trent Copeland is being talked up as being in the line up
I would have thought Peter George is a better option though

I didn't plan on watching much of this NZ series anyway especially with the Channel Nein commentators on board but now that we're only playing an Aus A side they're probably wishing in hindsight they just extended the South African series instead.

When does the Indian series start?

Unfortunately for Copeland not a great preparation Hasnt played for a while and there is plenty of rain in Sydney so he might not get a decent bowl in the shield game. Day 1 abandoned very early

Bit harsh on the kid. Not a great technique but 3 100's and 3 50's from his first 15 tests. Believe he was the 4th quickest Aussie to get to 1000 runs.
Definately has his faults but far from worst ever.

Off the top of my head
Andrew Hilditch
Matthew Elliott
Phil Jaques
Wayne Phillipps(the bald midget, not the keeper)
Probably a few others, Geoff Marsh's record wasnt great either. Reckon he only averaged low 30's and made only 4 or 5 centuries from 50+ tests.
