does anyone know how players went to the meet the coach day at karoonda yesterday?hav they keep any of smelts recruits?was there any gun recruits show up?i havent heard much else from other mallee teams,got any goss anyone

I doubt it goldy,although he does have strong family ties with the club,from what i've hear they have already filled their bigman roles,but who knows,i recken he'd be handy in the mallee!!

Played in an A-grade (div4) flag for us in 09 then played mainly b's till moving too murryville where he must have had a good year coz he made the mallee association team.
Think country footy would suit him better because he's fit but not very quick.

are they in the comp again for next season? i thought there was talk about the place that they wanted to win the GF as a "last Hurrah", i thought it was far from certain that they would have a team at all next year. not sure how accurate that is though. hope they are still there as it would be a big blow for the league to drop to 5 teams...
