I have heard Ferenchi is staying for a very big packet. Well over 1K a match. Unbelievable money.

I'm guessing that after reading the article on the back of the standard today that we can put to rest the rumours Wait will be definitely staying with Imps.

I have heard so many different stories about Whyalla comp, southern footy league and even Port Adelaide as potential homes for him in 2012 but as much as it burns me to say it, i'm glad he'll be staying. Bloody good bloke and great to watch the way he goes about his footy

Congratulations to Chad Wingard for getting drafted to Port Adelaide. Great for Imperials and the RMFL in general. We have been pretty lucky that the last 4 draft picks from this area have played at our local AFL clubs. At least we get to see them play a little more often. Anyone care to have a stab at who will be our next drafted player from this area.

If he works hard and gets his head down it could very well be Dwayne Wilson. This kid has skills most AFL players don't have in regard to being able to use both sides of his body. If you did not know which foot he kicked with you would have a very hard job picking it.

Also is there any truth to the rumour that Imps may be losing there leading goal kicker from this year? I have heard he may be looking to play a lot closer to home.

Not really up to date on who the young guns are around the league but young Rhys Marles from Meningie seems to go alright. Big year required in the under 18's next year however.

Yeah I have also heard Meninge still dont have a coach

Heard over the wknd the points are
Imps 8
Ramblers 8
Mannum 10
Jervois 15
Tailem 15
Mypo 15
Meninge 17

If this is true, I really dont understand how Jervois have ended up with 15. Thought maybe 12 or 13 as they did finish 3rd even though they ended the season on 4th. Surely they can look at how close teams are to each other at the end of the season instead of simply ladder position.

Perhaps the League is taking into account factors such as performances over more than one one year, and size of town.

Yeah I also agree on the jervois points being abit strange how they can get 15 points? and the fact that alot of there recruits from last yr will be 1 point this yr, frees up plenty of points

The points allocation is voted on by the clubs and generally the clubs will unite against the two town teams for any proposed changes as has happened in this case. The starting allocation is based on position after the minor round and not season ending positions hence Jervois having more points than Mannum.
