The nursing home fire... Allegedly deliberately lit, allegedly by a nurse working there.

Being reminded of the year between 1989 and 1991 because of MTV classics. Footy sucked that year.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Having my lad sit around all day waiting to bat and then copping a dodgy LBW from the opposition coach first ball. OUCH.

I actually found it very frustrating with the boy batting at 3 and the same thing happening, regularly ended up chasing him out of the game.

Court cases that obviously go way too long.Heard today that finally after 16 years Garabaldi meats case has finally been settled, the people who became critically ill and from what i remember one person died from eating contaminated food is crap. The people who survived would have had their lives turned upside down and going through years of health complications when a company knows they done wrong and the delay tactics shouldnt be allowed.Hardies with the asbestos is another case that comes to mind.

hottie, I had some insight into that situation at the time through associates.

My information suggested the management of Garabaldi were acting within all current processing guidelines.
The real issue was a delay in a government agency notifying the industry that there was emerging a new bacterial strain with higher heat tolerance so that higher fermentation temperatures would be required.
Focus on that, though, would have embarrassed the government and the relevant department.

Another example of to this form of cover up was the earlier suppression of information about how the main initiator of the Truro murders managed to get an early release from prison before the murders began.
I had inside information about that too, but was constrained by secrecy provisions of my employment within the public service at the time.
It caused me some discomfort because I was on friendly terms with the parents of one of the girls who was murdered.

Then there was the matter of the huge incidence of Brucellosis in meat workers after the Dunstan government saved a major abattoir and employer in SA from closing.
They changed the law so that diseased animals could be processed there for the pet food market rather than be killed and burned on the farms.
It suited the government, the company, and the union though as it ensured their survival, which outweighed the 640 cases of Brucellosis in the next 12 months.

I seriously don't know how I'm go without this show every week. It's been an institution for seven years now and I just don't miss watching it each week. A great journey.

The minor matter of how I will go without Myf Warhurst each week is another quandry ;) :(

I do watch Rockwiz in the summer, but one major part of that show prevents me from really getting into it as heavily as I'd like. Unfortunately, that part is the host.
