Greenbank - flashy wingman type, elite kicking skills, takes hangers, GUN if you can get him to play and keep him from losing interest.

Farrier - plays key position back or forward, but seems best suited as a CHB IMHO, good defender with a great contested grab, played a league game with Westies a year or so ago then returned to Reynella almost the following week.

Bradshaw - attacking half back flanker, also elite kicking skills i think, highly regarded in the SFL and probably been Reynella's best player for the last 5+ years.

I dont know Braddy at all, but from what i know of Fazz and Greeny they love their Saturday nights so i dunno how they are gonna go with these long drives to and from Kaniva/Keith/wherever!!
thanks cheese.. Farrier,Bradshaw,Ciampa signed at keith and Jared Greenbank signed at Kaniva,We are seeing alot of Southern Boys down here

Didn't happen. Zac had to postpone because the appointment clashed with his meeting at the Seacliff Hotel with Brendan Fevola

I was under the impression it was going to be around $1500 a game and he was only going to play home games.

Was just interested to see what came out of the meeting but it seems LF is wanting to divert attention.

McLaren Football Club
I would like to announce that the mclaren football club will be holding a special general meeting on the 8th of Dec at 7:30pm. At this meeting the members will be discussing and voting on the change of name back to the McLaren Eagles.
I advise all members to attend to voice their opinions and vote.

the hard thing with mclarens changing there names is the history. We kept the eagles name as we took the home ground of the crushers. mclaren flat was formed in 1903 , they still have many fans, sponsors and life members involved in the club now. They do not want to lose their part of the club understandably and would be sad to see it go. I agree with the name change as it is hard playing for the eagles against the eagles but a change will not come easy as supporters and committee members are split. With that there are also players now that have become life members for the eagles are keen to keep it the same.
there will be a lot of debating going on , it will be interesting to watch for sure

Totally agree Innocent Bystander - will be interesting the outcome.
Although no longer involved directly with the club I am also interested if it will or won't go ahead.

Wouldn't one of the major factors though be the cost involved.
Change of club gear, emblem, name etc, etc.
Surely that has to be a big part of the discussion.
Has anyone 'costed' this out?

Anyway good luck with it all.

Has anyone proposed what the alternative to the Mclaren Eagles would be? Options could be:The McLaren Dandelions, The McLaren Nuff Nuffs or something really tough like The McLaren Yetis.

McLaren Districts Kings has a good ring to it, nice and original yet has some great history!

Could make the logo a bunch of grapes with a crown or somthing similar & wear the original crows jumper?

I wouldn't be surprised to see them play finals.
The Ewer boyz know what it takes to win and WON'T tolerate losing.

emus are berserk. they run fast, playhard,
and to be honest, we admire their insanity.

At this stage I would. They were much improved in 2011 - most would be surprised they only managed 1 win, but their points are close to maximum already so it will be tough to move up the ladder drastically in 1 year. The comp is tough and it is hard to see many clubs on a big downwards slide. How Compass shape up will be interesting though.
