Siddle is bowling well, the 4 was an edge through slips. He is getting good shape

I thought Kallis was going to score 200 today. Good fightback after a poor second half to the opening session.

What a shot from De Villiers so early in his innings. When he is on he is up there with the best in the world.....one opposition player i do like to watch when he bats.

I agree, no turn for the spinner though. I'd be trying Hussey or even consider making Ponting have the occasional trundle.

And i'd bat Lyon ahead of Hussey & Clarke, after all he top score in Australias last innings.

Geez, give the bowlers a go, They're bowling on a road with a RIDICULOUSLY FAST outfield.
4/171 on a day 1 road is good going.

You cant be serious about Clarke being a better chance of getting a wicket ahead of Lyon and Hussey has got a bowl and is struggling to hit the pitch.

HATRICK TO SIDDLE ;)

42.4
Siddle to de Villiers, FOUR, edged and four! This time the ball flew in the air between second slip and gully. The ball was full outside off stump and AB reached far away from his body while trying to drive through cover

42.3
Siddle to de Villiers, FOUR, AB strides forward to drive but gets a thick outside edge along the ground to the third man boundary, it was a fuller and straighter ball, these two have now added 50 runs ...

42.2
Siddle to de Villiers, FOUR, short and wide outside off, AB waits on the back foot and plays a cracking cut to the backward point boundary

Lyon is no good end of story. He's best test figues have already been banked. I hope he proves me wrong but he doesn't appear to have the weapons. Agree about what you said about the score though....Saffers should make 450...hell, we might even make 300.
