I'm a country lad that lives in country South Australia NOT Adelaide.
I've supported the SACA for decades by attending matches at Adelaide oval supporting MY team -SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
Why the F**K should i then support a team called ADELAIDE Strikers?
Why should i support a team called ADELAIDE Strkers that contains players that actually PLAY for states other than South Australia?
Why have the Cricket Australia ALIENATED country based fans by naming teams after cities and not the state?

Result = that i WONT be supporting this ridiculous competition as it has NO appeal to me as i feel that i have NO affiliation to any team in the comp.

Enticed by the chance to revitalise Australian cricket and do it in his MCG "backyard", Shane Warne has confirmed he will line up for the Melbourne Stars in this summer's Twenty20 Big Bash League.

Warne will play for the duration of the competition, having decided that the initial offers of a one or two-match cameo appearance, made when he was still reticent about returning to cricket after retiring from the IPL earlier this year, would not have been worthwhile.

Calling himself a "young 42", Warne said he had not yet decided whether this would be his only summer with the Stars, but was enthused by the prospect of helping attract younger generations to cricket, not least his own three children.

SYDNEY Sixers will monitor Stuart MacGill's form in Twenty20 grade cricket over the next three weeks as the likelihood of a Big Bash League clash with old rival Shane Warne looms.

The former Test leg-spinner made a surprise comeback to club cricket with Sydney University on Sunday, taking 1-26 from four overs in a T20 match against Fairfield-Liverpool.

Mitchell Johnson has reversed his earlier decision to stay away from this summer's Twenty20 Big Bash League, signing on with the Perth Scorchers.

Having said in July that he would not take part in the BBL in order to keep himself fresh as possible for the international summer, Johnson appears to have changed his mind after being dropped from the Australia T20 team following indifferent displays in that format in Sri Lanka.
