Why's that Mal? The blue cap a dead giveaway?

There is a wonderful opportunity for a opening batsman to rise from obscurity to become an opener at Test level
Hughes will go
Warner wont make it at Test level[but is a wonderful limited overs batsman]
Watson might become a middle order batsman
Marsh is a cripple, he might open and ruin his career[be a very good 4-5 batter]
If you eliminate all the established or too old openers who are playing around Australia , you get left with players like the Cruikman
As Ive said Ive never seen him play, but he fits the criteria

Maddinson failed today but he is right in the mix IMO, WA has a couple of decent prospects aswell

Marcus Harris (WA) 19yo who has played 8 FC matches is a good prospect

Is there anyone in the 25-40 FC match radius that we have? Rather than less than ten? Serious question.

Liam Davis is having a standout season, currently leading run scorer in shield this season by a bit, has over 450 runs and averaging 56, has played 24 FC matches so he must be in selectors eyes.
Rob Quiney Averaging over 45 this year and has played over 40 FC matches.
Ryan Broad Averaging over 40 this season, played over 50 FC matches

NSW... 277 all out

Cruickshank 52 (64)... NostraMALdamus strikes when he was 3*
Peter Nevill 69... The best wicket keeper in the NSW squad
Steven Smith 47... From a hundred against a crap XI, he scored half that against the second best bowling unit in the country.
HenREBiques 1/41 (19 overs) and 42 (94 balls)... Shane Watson is the premier all rounder in this country. Mitch Marsh will be the next long term option... This guy could get quite a bit of cricket in the national colours...
Swan and Cutting, as well as Boyce, bowled well... Hopes and Feldman didn't do too much, but a very complete bowling attack.

Dougie limped off the field early, in some doubt to bowl tomorrow.
If Queensland get outright points they will be hard to catch

QLD all out 223
NSW require 229
Are currently 1/5 Maddinson out cheaply.
Good effort by NSW, were a bowler down after Dougie didnt come up.
Great effort by O'Keefe who bowled 34 overs and took 4/66
