Second XI Stumps Day 2
SA 0/281
Thornton 177*(238)
Stray 96*(237)
Very impressive Day by the SA lads, incredible scoring rate by Thornton.
Just out of interest when was the last time SA had a 300 run partnership in any form of cricket?

Unofrtunately neither stray nor thornton is South Australian. I wonder what impact this is starting to have on young south australians who have to choose between footy and cricket, when we constantly out source, rather than develop our own talent pool. Makes me sick. Piss off the SACA board.

PS why cant we ever run through the tail? Doherty/Triffit already put on 28.

There is the problem, footy gets them first as the success and $$$ arrive much quicker than if they stick with the creams.

Bays that is incorrect. If a player wants to come over and prove he is good enough (not out sourced) and get a state contract that is fantastic and happens in every state ie crossy going interstate before coming to SA. I have a problem with SACA paying a bloke like Theo who has done nothing really in his career. If anything, these blokes who come wanting to prove they are good enough and get a contract make the grade comp stronger and hopefully the young SA cricketers develop better against the better quality.

SACA board has little to do with it. The consititution needs to be re written, so SACA control the grade clubs and not the Club delegates as I believe is the case. (calling smac to the thread )

This one was scheduled for Gliderol but is being played at Adelaide Oval.
