Round 4 shapes up as a very important one for many clubs.

Round 4
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Coromandel v Coromandel Ramblers Hewett Sports Ground
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Morphettville Park v Western Youth Centre Denham Reserve
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Sheidow Park v ICC Sharks Capella Reserve
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Plympton Footballers v South Road Plympton Oval
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Cove v Belair Cove Sports & Comm...
12 Nov, 19 Nov(1:00 PM) Keswick v Glenelg ANA Westminster School...

Coro have had a great start to the year and are sitting pretty on the top of the ladder. Some individual brilliance got them across the line against Belair and i don't think they will want to be relying on Oakey doing that every week, or the Moose for that matter ;) . Ramblers haven't had a terrific start and will been keen to be 2-2 after this round. I think the home side will get up here in a close spirited contest.

Looking forward to our contest against Morhpy's for our inaugral Dave Lee cup game. McCard tore the bays a new one last week and hopefully bowled all his wicket balls last week. We will have a few players missing this game due to weddings  . As the games have been in the last few years i don't think this one will be high scoring game and it will again go to the team who bats first. WYC because Hopkins won a toss, finally.

Sheidow Pk have unfortunately lost the services of Cooke for the rest of the year, according to FB, and i think this is a big blow to their chances here. They will need to take early wickets to be in with a chance. I think they will be capable of chasing up to 170 against the sharks but any more might prove a task to big. Sharks will rely on Diener and Henwood to get their runs and Winning and Tonkes to get their wickets. I think ICC will get up.

I think South Road will be the surprise packet this year and cause plenty of upsets. They seem to have a more rounded attack this year and have got some depth in their batting, something they haven't had for a few years. Plympton have some talent in their side and will continue to rely heavily on Pritchard with bat and ball and their older fellas with the bat whilst their younger guys get some consistency in their game. I think South Road will get up here.

Cove have shown the last few weeks with their best side on the park they will be very tough to beat. I think the best opening partnership in the comp will win the battle against the belair bowlers and Cove will make a score of 250+ which i don't think Belair will chase down.

Keswick and the Bays have both started 0-3, not many would have picked that at the start of the year. I think Basso and Rowe will get going with the bat and both make large contributions. On the other hand can Mckay, McRae and Curyer all click in the same game and get a big total on the board for their bowlers to work with. I think that Rowe, Zuvella and Goodrich will bowl well enough to not let all three get going. I think Keswick will rely heavily on their two Singh's with the ball. If they can bowl well then they may restrict the bays to a small total. I think keswick will win this one in a really tight game.

Winners:

Coromandel. Our 150th celebrations kick off against the club that wouldn't exist without us ;) Mcmanus will shine batting at 3 ;) ;)

WYC. Haven't seen enough from Morphies to prove to me they're contenders yet. Sure it will be tight though.

ICC. Cooked out is a massive loss!!

South Road. Possibly outright if pritchard doesn't stay at the crease long.

Belair. Showed last game that the can compete in section 1. Portlock to make a ton and mangin a bag.

Keswick. They've gotta click eventually.

Get down to Plympton and have a look, the bar will be open always with better than pub prices, and we'll have either the races on the screens or whatever sport is on fox. Maybe the red-quacks.

We'll get the BBQ out as well, a few WYC boys destroyed the steak egg and bacon burgers last time round, so we'll whack them on the plate again.

All welcome.

Plympton v Morphies probably more due to geographical reasons, and also over the years there have been a lot of players that have swapped between clubs which has always spiced games up. But I think MP v PLY has always been us v them no matter the sport.

ICC & WYC, because they despise each other.
South Road v. Keswick. Bradbrook/Maetze Cup
Morphies v Plympton for sure. Moose Harley Cup
Cove v Sheidow. Crap area cup ;)
Ramblers v Coro. Up the hill Cup.
ANA v Belair cos there is noone else left I suppose.
I reckon ANA get on with everyone fairly well, I never see anyone bagging them or hear any bad words about them.

Our biggest rivalry is easily glenelg Ana. Get on well with me without a doubt, but our history goes back to independent central days.
Think we have lose 7 out of 10 grand finals to them I think.

for mine: coro, morphies, ICC, south rd, cove, keswick

For what it's worth Moe's tips:
Coro. Because I don't like JC.
ICC. Because I don't like the whole of Sheidow Park, as a subub.
Plympton. Because I don't like South Road. Always busy.
Belair. Because there is no Michael Thomas.
ANA. Beacause I HATE Keswick. Apart from the Bradbrook family, and Paul McGowan (sometimes,)( & Heath when he buys me a bundy @ the Morphett Arms.)
Morphies. Because.(I barrack for them)

Coromandel - Playing some good cricket at the moment.
Morphies - can't tip against my own club.
ICC - Cause Gravesy's not playing A's for Sheidow yet :)
Sth Rd - 3 wkts to Barn last week, he will bowl Sth Rd to victory.
Cove - starting to come together, until next game :)
ANA - Keswick to be 0-4

For all those who have kids and are watching the pagent, keep a eye out for Moe, he will be dressed as a alien, if you ask me he should of been a fairy

6 balls bowled, got bat onto one of them which would have popped up to cover, Tubby 1/0, then again, when the ball is going past the off stump ( not leg side Moe ) it's a bit hard to hit them when your standing on the grass by the square leg ump.

Needed to move outside off stump and hoik them to leg instead?

Is it a bad sign if I'm still sore the following Friday from a 10 over spell?
