I think it should be out of Sturt , Norwood or Glenelg. As much as I would want Sturt to be playing I think a "tradition" needs to be born and make it the same 2 teams each year . Make it Glenelg and make it a "southern derby " as such. The league do not create these clashes enough IMO. A few years back Sturt played Norwood to kick the season off and got big crowds two years in a row I think so why not make that a traditional game for example. There is plenty of options to do this for the clubs.

Based on 'Olsenisms' maybe South should play Jimmy Adelaide's team on Good Friday, the North Allan Roosters :D

Interesting South announced will not host Saturday Night games next year, they have asked all night footy @ Noarlunga be on Friday Night and other home games on Sunday.

Dissapointing that Saturday afternoons away from the bride, oops, at the footy will not be an option for home games.

The bays sound like the best choice.

My self I would live to see Port play on Good Friday but for alot of people i know it is not an option becasue of public transport after the match. Getting to the city is fine but you cut is very close to get a train or bus out by the time you get their with the limited service on public holidays. A few people had to leave early from this years match on the thursday night for this reason. Apart from that it is a fantastic idea and maybbe startign 30 min early would help this if it is port.

I think they were told this was a bad idea from the outset from many within the local community. They wanted to play night matches to increase crowds (SFL and GSFL community) so last year they played the majority on Saturday nights when most of these people would be at club presentations events etc. I think Friday night games will see them increase their crowds, the Sunday's I wouldn't expect to see much difference but I could be wrong.

Good move South.

I think that there is. IMHO South deserve exclusivity to it now for having the balls and the common sense to starting something that will be highly successful.
Stuff the rest of the clubs.

Agreed as much as id love Norwood to host Port or Sturt on Good Friday ( probably a crowd of 10k+) we didnt have to balls to push for it. People have been screaming out for Good Friday for years and all the other clubs have sat on their hands and not wanted to upset the minority. Good on South for having the courage to get it done. They deserve to play it exclusively, just hope its against us

The South v Glenelg crowd was much larger.

You'd expect South to push for the highest possible attendence, which would probably be against Nwd, Sturt or Glenelg.

Which team has the most left leggers? 8)

perhaps the club could do a one off special on Fish and chips....?
