They may end up with a cosy 5 team comp which will make some of them very satisfied i suspect.

Plenty of people have rocked up over the years expecting to dominate and have been surprised to find how good this comp is. May not be Div 1 but most teams have alota players that would easily make it big down there and sides like imps, ramblers and mannum over the last 2-3 years would have pushed plenty of teams in Div 1

Players who have played at State level or even higher for that matter, coming back to the RMFL and finding it a bit tougher to get a kick is rarely a reflection of the standard of footy in that league, it happens everywhere. I think its related more to the fact that these type of players are used to playing in well-drilled, well-structured, tight teams that are very predictable to each member of the team. Country footy on the other hand is mainly blokes running around trying to get a kick and rarely does the footy get used consistently at a high skill level. Your also forgetting the fact that clearly footy is not the no.1 priority for these types of players anymore. They have spent their time at a league club and then at A1 level, what more do they need to prove to themselves. IMO to shift from such a level to a random country club that is silly enough to pay massive $$$$$, is purely a move for that very reason and that reason alone $$$$$. I'm sure he didnt make the move for the betterment of his footy development.

Be interested to know what you class as massive $$$$$?

Personally, I feel if a club invests more than $400 a game in a midfielder, than to me, thats excessive. Whereas a tall forward or ruckman is probably worthy of a bit more.

Kennedy off to Min Man in NEFL to join his good mate Shaun Gibson who has been appointed coach, he is on a lot less $. Kennedy obviously played for the majority of his career with us at Tanunda and he is truely a great player and great bloke, I think you will find he really did not like playing at Mannum so his heart was never there, with the money they offered him why wouldn't you have a go. Don't know much about Mannum but there maybe a few other problems there other than recruiting players who really don't fit in.

You don't know much but there may be problems. That's logical. From an outsider looking in (not too far outside) Kennedy rocked up overweight and couldn't get a kick as has been said on here at the start of the season. With the 'money they offered him' comes an expectation to perform and not turn up out of shape. Recruits who fit in at any club are those that have a crack.

Anyone have an update on when the points situation will be sorted out in RMFL, I'm sure a lot of clubs would want to be confirming recruits quite soon.
