Good spell by George to grab 3 quick wickets and drag us back into match. If we can break this partnership between Kat and Steve Smith are right in it

Kulesza or joraslafsky a very humorous suggestion. God help the redbacks if either of these blokes make a living out of playing cricket

Ive played a lot of cricket
Ive captained a lot of cricketers
Ive watched a lot of cricket
Whether its Hard wicket scrubber cricket or Sheffield Shield cricket there is one common denominator
When you give a new ball to your opening bowlers you make this decision MOST times :
You give it to your best fast bowlers

Using this logic, which generally stands the test of time, SA MUST open with Peter George and not Dan Christian
George has been a good enough bowler to bowl for his country
Dan is definitely not good enough to be selected as a specialist bowler at Test Level
Quite simply Peter George in 4-5 day games is a far superior bowler
Its a bit like giving Greg Chappell the new ball instead of Terry Alderman
Or its like batting George in front of Christian ...

I dont think you need to have played or captained anything above the Under 12 A's to agree with this statement. I think Christians bowling strength lies in the shorter forms of the game anyway.

SA bowling is tripe. I thought after we got Kat out cheeply early on we were right in it. Smith is a good batsmen but to go at over 5 an over is just poir by SA

The commentary said Putzy injured himself on the delivery he got Kat out, Christian finished the over. Looks like we are a bowler down to rub more salt in to our wounds

Ziiigggy!

Has been training with the state squad and was picked in the recent (but not played) Futures game. Improved a lot from last year.

Thats not good, Putland is having a good season.
No excuses for other bowlers not being able to bowl tight though. Sounds like a heap of half volleys leg side balls in the hour

With Putland injured SA will prob open the bowling in the 2nd dig with Bailey instead of George as well

The way we're going I don't think we'll have to worry about NSW batting twice. After a couple of days on the field our battings likely to fold quicker than the French in WW2
