Chances of Kat playing for Australia again were about the same as yours. He hardly said anything at all, but I guess if you just read the headline then he should be charged with treason.

Sour grapes and nothing else. He can't hide behind the excuse of trying to get change because everyone in the country, not just cricket followers, have heard of the changes because of the Argus report. He knew we were getting a new regime with new selectors in place and still fired a shot. Simply put, he had more chances than more talented blokes get and didn't do enough to nail his spot. Now they need to change because doing the same thing with the same old blokes who are just a year older will get the same results or worse.

Katich knew no matter who the captain or selectors were he was done. Instead of riding off into the sunset and enjoying a last few years with NSW or even the odd test to cover injury and appreciating the chances he got he's tarnished himself. Gillespie copped it sweet when he was done and got a miracle game as cover and hit that double hundred. If he mouthed off Katich style, he'd never have gotten even that.

Making outrageous comments about senior cricket officals, be it the captain or otherwise should not be tolerated, I agree.

Speaking the truth should not be penalised, however. Kat very harshly dealt with twice in 6 months by CA.
PAFC. Forever.

"In Katich's last seven innings, he averaged only 29.00. I averaged over 85.00 from my last seven hits and he calls himself poorly treated?"

Dean Jones doesn't think Simon Katich has been dealt too bad a deal

A better lesson on bitterness the Kat will not find.
