Keep having a go, now that he has a home loan you are every chance. Hopefully you blokes next year, after the heat of battle can still say a hello and have a beer with Harves. Maybe its time I gave Brad Yeomans a call and buried that hatchet. Havent spoken to him since 2009.

Good chance you'll speak to him 3 times a week in 2012 ;)

Because of how good this league is, alot of players have good mates at some of the other clubs. Now whatever someone is on at their original club, if another club is going to offer more and has some of your mates there then it's going to be pretty tempting.
Personally, something would have to go pretty sour for me to play against my club. And even then I would look at other leagues first. But if the offer is substantially bigger then that brings in extra factors, especially if you have mortgage, kids, etc.

So it leads me to believe in Harvey's case the offer is either too good to refuse, or maybe the Bays need to look after their own backyard a little better before venturing on the big recruits.

As for Burdett, apparently half the Compass team were leaving if they kept this year's coach. Ok they have a new coach but not surprised some would still head out.
Though Willunga is a strange place to go, he'll have to hold onto his petrol receipts if he wants any payments.

Need to make a rule that inter legue poaching should not be allowed.. 5 POINT PLAYERS TRANSFERRING TO A CLUB IN THEIR OWN LEAGUE WILL STOP ALL THIS CRAP..

Disagree. Players aren't property. You just need to recruit the right person/player that is at your club for the right reason and create a place they dont want to leave. Not too many players change clubs within our league for $$$, majority change for opputunity.
There is a point these days where you cant expect players to remain loyal. If you were 24 - 25yrs old and got offered $500 to play footy, you cant blame them for leaving.

Were taking more than $500.00 by the sound of it.... this is what the issue is.. the $$$ bastardisation....

thats a real problem. What are bays paying Neely he was on 1000 per game at tv you probably would throw him 1500 + to do that plus coach. Cranston still on the radar? 1200 was it per match

Or we just chase senior colts from the club down the road. How much is Aden Bartlett from vh worth to ya.

If you have something to back this up Im quite happy to follow it up with the Pres and Committee.. WE DO NOT AND NEVER WILL PAY SENIOR COLTS... I know of a couple kids that want to come and play at the Bay in colts level but I think there only Junior colts as they have a huge number at victor and didnt get a chance to play much footy... BACK IT UP AND I WILL FOLLOW IT UP...

I'll back it up but first let me clarify Aiden is 18 and not a s/c. However, he is a vh junior and I hate to get him involved but direct from him E/B offered him money to play there next year. I do not know any figures though. So baysrule stop the hypocracy because i'm over your ranting and i'm sure so are a few others! While i don't agree with it, players moving around within a league is a smart choice. Both the club and the player know most of what each other are about.

OK Im happy to stop ranting.. but I would also like to straignten out this crap.. I have spoken to our 3 recruiters including Pres and two on the Junior committee and NO one has spoken to Aiden and offered him money. His is NOT on our llist for possibles for next year... Funny a couple of peaole didnt even know who he was.. So please stop the slander.. Or perhaps get Aiden to work out who it was that spoke to him as it wasnt anyone that could of offered money genuinely.. Happy to move on as it is a good opportunity to do so but I certainly dont like to be acused of stuff that aitnt true..
