In regards to burdett at the creek i think the only reason it didn't happen was creek don't have enough points for him. They have 11pts next year compared to 15 this year and have already got 9pts taken with hately, mcgregor and kellock(who is staying at the creek shacked up with a creek girl). Seems to be a hype of activity around the clubs all of a sudden, burdett and harvey moves are the surprising ones. Would love to see harvey in a top team he would be unstoppable, compared with another bottom team with lack of fwd entries. Has matt thomas definately retired? Thought he would have a few good years left in him.

And with all this movement that has appears to be happening why do the likes of Burdett and Harvey not tell their own Clubs straight away so there is NO here say on here... I am under strong belief that neither EBay know of Harvey definately leaving or at Compass if Burdett has definately gone either.. How about a bit of personal Ethics to a Club that I feel would have been good to you and let them know the truth.... So they too can move on.... Yes I do like Ethics as I spoke of Ethics before... :(

Without getting in to a typing dog fight, Harvey did inform encounter bay of his decision and went about it the right way and probably the only way he could knowing the difficulty of the decision. He refused to sign paper work (this was only signed in the last week) with us until he had informed bays

Well when I noticed all this crap on here yesterday there was a few phone calls made and it was confirmed that no one at the BAY knew at that stage that Harvey had signed.... Funny tho how after a couple of more commetns and one from me that all of a sudden the President gets a phone call from Harvey... Yes this was yesterday.... Not before... and yes the Bays should have been able to have a right of reply..

yep can back baysrule up here, spoke with president yesterday and first he or our new coach had heard of it was when harvey rang in. In my opioun it is a bit of a dog act but as happening in AFL money talks, will just be interesting to see if goolwa can keep the cash coming in year after year as that is what yank tried and apparently that has run out. As far as Harvey goes though, yes he did have a good year but you wouldnt want to be building your whole club around him, last year he was probably one of our top 5, he came runner up in best and fairest but to be honest we had a shit year and finished near the bottom. He is hot and cold and this year at the bay with our new recruits would have been top 10 and sorry to see him go but dont dwell on the past and move on, I like the rest of our club will look foward to bays vs goolwa match next year and would love the opportunity to stand next to him before the ball is bounced.

Heres a yell out on my previous comment to the GSFL.. Head Honchol.. YOU need to do something about this crap so it stops happening.. Need to make a rule that inter legue poaching should not be allowed.. 5 POINT PLAYERS TRANSFERRING TO A CLUB IN THEIR OWN LEAGUE WILL STOP ALL THIS CRAP..

Funny... I have spoken to someone just this morning "in the know" at compass and as at right now Burdett still has not given compass an answer as to what he is doing next year.. Well Not the PRES, COACH OR COMMITTEE... WE both call this GUTLESS... Compass only know as we all do on here the RUMORS...

The rule of no poaching or making them 5 point players inter league needs to be added or we will be going a huge step backwards for those of us that remember the 90's... there was an all out players war.. not good for football.

All I can say on the Harvey situation is it is good recruiting by Goolwa. They need forwards and he could fit the bill perfectly.I was talking to a mate of Zac`s in Murray Bridge on the weekend (who is good friends with him) and he was saying there will be a couple of more forwards signed in the next week or two. He mentioned they have signed a 6`6 lad with a rugby background who is more than handy with game.
