SAAFL Division 5 & D5R (2012)

With the teams in Div 5 for 2012 we should be in for a cracker of a season ahead if 2011 was anything to go by there was some really close games & tight finish so the season cant come around early enough especially with the Red Backs return to true form today as maybe a long cricket season first...

Welcome to div 5 Roaring Lion, but we are all playing for second behind Brahma. There big recruiting just keeps getting bigger and would have be over 15 points by now.

i know chris is good mates with bourke,but i thought derek and willie were definantly staying didnt want to train 2 nights a week and just enjoy there footy

If Burke wants to bring blokes to the club who only want to train 2 nights a week and play A's, that would be the dumbest move a coach could make. No team likes slack arses, who won't embrace the teams vision

Getting players to only train 2 nights a week a dumb move?? How many nights should players be training??

The main reason I would think it is beneficial is getting the boys and any new recruits together and enjoying each other's company.
Any fitness gained would generally be lost over Xmas & New Years (certainly for me anyway)

Absolute truth mate. All that turkey and ham and Christmas cheer makes for a fun January though.

Fitzroy if they can't recruit to cover what they have lost over the last couple of years plus Hart and their ruckman from this year

based on last year will probably be tight again so injuries may hold the key, any side losing top couple of players may get exposed

Anyone know if we are looking at potentially 3 relegations or only 1 promotion next year if the league want to accommodate Brighton moving straight over into a high division?

dont worry guys, this same guy said training 2 nights a week isn't enough ... clearly doesnt have much of a clue...

What about Brahma Executive? Four players from Eastern Park, 2 from Willaston and 2 from Elizabeth. That's a fair effort so far!
