Lol. Peter Sleep will sort him out in grade 6. If he does though, there are two Sibbicks playing in that side....

2 sibbicks in 1 team...... browny wont know which one to bum. he will be a lost puppy with two owners.

Pretty funny FL2FL, i'm sure all your mates would be laughing with you.... if you had any ;)

Hahahahahaha could put a very funny photo of F2F up from his night last evening, all his mates left him to sleep outside. Lucky it wasnt cold last night.....

With that... a slight deflection to the next topic!

According to the 'bom' website only expecting morning showers less than 2mm of rain, wouldnt think to many games are under threat.

Only the weak pray for rain son, If we cant chase Westies target then we just werent good enough, simple as that. But as a club, Smithfield will always give it a go til the end. Hopefully the rain holds off and we can get some good weather to chase down 242 against a strong bowling attack. GO YOU PANTHERS!

Spot on dose. Unlike some smart ass who has had all week to make that comment yet waits til Saturday morning when the forum is at it's quietest we will man up.
Nobody plays this game to be involved in rained out draws (actually perhaps Spinner does) and if we aren't good enough to chase down the target then so be it but we are playing to test ourselves against the best.
Spinner, crawl back in your hole champ.

James and Raed are players that without will make the task a little harder, but it gives someone else a chance to step up. Got young Nick Tuckwell to get his chance today, coming up from the B's. has made good runs in the B's for the last couple of years and now with a bit of time at the crease with the big boys gets his opportunity to make a name for himself. Plenty of players to make today there chance to make some runs and hopefully get us over the line. Have full belief in our players that we put out onto the park week in week out can do the job.

Just look at Jamie Tuckwell, was B grade skipper last year, was put into the A's for round one and is now opening up with the new ball and taking on his opportunity. We have great belief in our depth and talent down at Smithfield, play as one as a club.

Without raed and morris I would think westies will go close to rolling smithfield twice.. Def a good test for your young fellas but its a massive diff coming from b grade to a grade let alone coming up against the best side of the last decade..but hey anything could happen..after all look who won the flag lastyear..

one tree hill 220 & 80-1 defeated Virginia 134 all out. Troy Scott took 3 or 4 fa today and scored 45 second dig, Hanisch also took 3fa. Very good day of cricket for the billiegoats after the disappointment of the first games performance.

Angle Vale got up against a broken Salisbury West. Two days in the field took it's toll. Angle Vale smashed a depleted Smithfield in the early game, we dropped about 15 catches, 3 sitters in 3 balls at one stage. Pete and Andy Carman did the bulk of the damage with the bat, they got dropped early on aswell and made the most of our poor fielding.

Phantom's Phantom McKenzie
Rose & Crown V Central United
3 - L. Kent: His 5 wicket haul which included the 1st 5 wickets of the CU innings was really the major deciding factor between the two sides. Was also his 1st ever Grade 1 'Michelle'.
2 - G. Hodder: An exceptional innings from an exceptional leader. 41 runs and really gave United a big sniff, forming partnerships with the last couple of batsmen, was really the only stand out batsman over the course of the game. On a side note, I thought his captaincy was very astute.
1 - D. Ritzema: With not a great deal of stand out performances in the game, and several players around the same mark I've gone with Ritzema. His bowling in the Rose & Crown innings was very good. Showed great control and bowled in some very good areas, and collected a couple of wickets. Thought he was definately the pick of the bowlers.

Smithfield V Salisbury West
3 - J. Davies: Shows his worth again with another brilliant all-round performance. 3/36 and 61 gives him the nod for the maximum votes. Say no more.
2 - S. McIntyre: Possibly unlucky to be 2nd preference with his 4/53 and a valuable 33.
1 - S. Rundle: 43 opening the batting against a strong bowling outfit, and nearly a quarter of the teams total to match his 2 wickets he picked up with the ball.

Parafield Gardens V Angle Vale
3 - J. Carmen: Another game, another bag of wickets - this time 8 (5/27 & 3/43). Proving to be the catalyst behind Angle Vales strong start to the season.
2 - J. Pogas: 58 runs, nearly passed the PG score off his own bat, definately a vital cog at the top of the AV batting line up.
1 - N. Lynch: A rare shining light for the struggling Parafield Gardens line up, providing the only real resistance to the 'Team Carmen' onslaught with 18 & 37, top scoring for the Gardens in both innings.

Virginia V One Tree Hill
3 - J. Hanisch: An unbeaten 59 from the captain to compliment his 3/20 off 7 overs proved the major difference.
2 - T. Scott: Paved the way for the Goats with 4/27 with the ball and opening the innings with a tidy 24. Followed up his strong performance with 46 runs in the 2nd innings.
1 - J. Natsias: Gets the 1 vote for his 3/30 off 11 overs.

Paying for it now mate, did my groin 2nd ball of my 2nd over, probably should've stopped then. Wasn't enough to get me a vote in the Phantom medal though :(
