Paul Cahill has been delisted from St Kilda, hopefully he'll be back in the Double Blue

Gees, a Double Blues forward line with Duldig, Chambers and Cahill would be pretty potent !!!

Ryan Gamble is a Bays junior isn't he (SE zone I think?) and would go alright at SANFL level I reckon.

The Club went from 9th (with him) to 4th this year, so I don't think they'd be loosing too much sleep.

On a positive note I understand Denis Iljecsen (or however you spell it) has put his hand up to come back to the Club for minimum chips. Another gun country player that has never been, and proabably never will be a star at SANFL level, but an honest goer that has a good attitude, and doesn't put demands on the club for unrealistic money.

Fuller sacked Denis at the EAGLES

Wouldnt be suprised if he plays for West if he comes to SA as he is good mates with Sam and Ben Fisher.

One of the reasons why West along with South are trying to get the import rule relaxed again??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Yeah, thought about that when I read it in the Sunday Mail today.

Also read Ken Applegarth's comments about the Bays discussing possible recruits tomorrow, with Neon Leon to be discussed, naturally. Also mentioned chasing delisted Saint and Tiger junior Ryan Gamble, who I think would be a very very good player at SANFL level.

Think you will find that $$$ was a contibuting factor, combined with injury as to why Iljecsen left a few years back Bunton

Frormer Norwood player Austin Wonaeamirri delisted by Melbourne.

Would be a safe bet that he will stay up in the NT as he returned there after the sad passing of his father.

Dennis was not sacked from the Eagles. He decided to leave to get opportunity at league level with South. Theres no doubt he could be a useful forward for a lower-ranked SANFL team, but there is no way he could hold his spot in a top 5 SANFL league side as a forward, thus by staying with the Eagles he was never going to play regular league footy.

Read in the SAAFL thread that Jeremy Johncock has left Sturt and signed with Port Districts in Division 2.

Serious question for Dogs fans, would it be time to develop younger defenders than rely on a rising 34 year old who is not going to be able to fully train?

I would think there's a solid record of developing players over the past decade or so.
No one gets a gold pass, so Yves would be aware that nothing can be taken for granted.
His experience will be invaluable, particularly with the likely loss Of Lee Spurr who has spent time in defence. As far as I'm aware, injuries haven't been a problem. Plus his past two on/off seasons may allow him to play a little longer than if he had played full seasons.
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.

He never really left, he just wasn't available to play for large portions of the season because of his career choice and the limitations outside of that placed on him.

I think he feels like he let the club down and wants to repay the coaching staff, team-mates, supporters and the club with a full season, including finals, should the Dogs qualify for them.

Dutchy, it wouldn't happen I don't think, if he wasn't able to fully train again. I'm not sure when the Adelaide course finishes but I'd suggest he wouldn't be saying he'll play again if it wasn't at least to be completed by March.

The likes of Corey Reichert and Jacob Templeton are the developing youngsters that got more opportunities last year with Sibenaler absent. I think his experience and composure was what was missing for the Dogs in defence all year.

As Dogwatcher suggested, the club wouldn't give him any gold passes and I think his football knowledge, experience and character will be welcolmed again, especially with the likes of Matthew Prior and Paul Marschall also showing promising signs, a senior comrad will be needed to help guide them I think.
